When Mu Chengxi spoke, Wen Xin had already confirmed Feng Qing’s identity; she knew he was more than just one of their own.

Wen Xin did not shift her gaze away from Feng Qing, instead, she lifted an eyebrow at him.

“One of our own… How confident are you about the Elders Guild matter?”

Feng Qing was momentarily stunned by Wen Xin’s question, as he had not received any notification and was unaware of how Wen Xin intended to deal with the Elders Guild issue.

“I don’t know what Madam wishes to do with the Elders Guild. What do I need to do?”

Feng Qing’s eyes shifted away from Wen Xin, landing on Mu Chengxi, seeking with his gaze what Wen Xin ultimately wanted to do.

Mu Chengxi paid no attention to Feng Qing’s glance. He also turned his head to look at Wen Xin and gently asked her, “What are you planning to do with the Elders Guild?”

“What to do? I hadn’t thought of anything specific, but I have a bunch of dirt on those Elders from the Elders Guild. I intend to make it impossible for them to continue operating; that’s my simplest goal,” Wen Xin replied.

Wen Xin took a USB drive out of her pocket and placed it in Mu Chengxi’s palm, then turned her gaze back to Feng Qing.

“The simplest idea I had was to hack the Elders Guild’s system and show them all this stuff, but now it seems there’s no great need for that. Have your people do it for me instead; that will save me a lot of trouble.”

Upon hearing Wen Xin’s words, Mu Chengxi expressed no objections and directly tossed the USB drive to Feng Qing, who now understood exactly what he needed to do.

“I’ll make the arrangements immediately. The Elders Guild will hold an election at the central building at three o’clock this afternoon. You can just come over then,” Feng Qing said.

Wen Xin loved dealing with smart people. She nodded at Feng Qing and then had Moore escort him out while she herself pulled Mu Chengxi in the direction of the dining room.

Walking into the dining room, the chef respectfully placed breakfast in front of Mu Chengxi. Wen Xin sat opposite him, her chin resting on her hand, her gaze faintly fixed on Mu Chengxi.

“Eat up quickly. After you’re done, we still need to visit Uncle at the hospital. Do you want to come with me?” she asked.

In the living room, Chu Yunxuan and Xiao Mi, seated on the sofa, exchanged looks as they observed the interaction between Wen Xin and Mu Chengxi, thinking how double-standard Wen Xin was.

Just yesterday, when they spoke of Mu Chengxi, Wen Xin was almost ready to kick them out of Independent State. Now seeing Mu Chengxi, the two seemed sickeningly sweet together. It was rather excessive.

“You’ve known my sister for so long, has she ever had issues acting like this in love before?”

Xiao Mi gently nudged Chu Yunxuan, who was busy texting with her head down, wanting to know if Wen Xin had this problem before.

Hearing Xiao Mi’s question, Chu Yunxuan raised her head and unintentionally glanced towards Wen Xin and Mu Chengxi in the dining room, smiling meaningfully.

“Your sister only gets lovesick when it comes to Mu Chengxi, you’re too young to understand,” Chu Yunxuan said, gently patting Xiao Mi’s head.

Standing to one side, Yan Qing watched Chu Yunxuan’s gesture and smiled faintly, speaking softly to her, “Okay, according to our plan, it’s time to get to work. Since you don’t need to follow the boss anymore, come with us and get things done.”

Saying this, Yan Qing reached out to pull Chu Yunxuan to her feet from the couch. Chu Yunxuan seemed reluctant, but without any complaint, she left.

After Yan Qing and her group left, the living room was left with only Mu Dong, Xiao Mi, and Qian Meng. Qian Meng sat next to Mu Dong and nudged him gently with his elbow, leaning in and asking with great curiosity.

“Your Master Xi is pretty formidable, huh? The airport was paralyzed. How did you guys get into the Independent State without going through the docks?”

When Qian Meng entered the Independent State, he had deliberately fostered good relationships with a few people at the docks, hoping to curry favor with Mu Chengxi, but it turned out to be unnecessary.

Mu Dong didn’t think his relationship with Qian Meng was close enough to share everything, so he didn’t plan to divulge how they had gotten in.

Looking at Mu Dong’s expression, Qian Meng felt Mu Dong was very cunning and not nearly as easy to deal with as Mu Bei, really boring!

At that moment, Wen Xin walked over from the dining room with Mu Chengxi. She glanced at Xiao Mi, who was engrossed in her video game on the couch, and gently patted her shoulder.

“I want to take control of Kunshan Base. Do you know how to help me?”

Having grown up in the Independent State, Xiao Mi had been exposed to many important things and knew what Kunshan Base was like. If it were easy to seize control, the Old Fox would have already had it in his grasp.

“I’m serious. You need to help me map out the layout of Kunshan Base and investigate what they’re researching… Take Qian Meng and Mu Dong with you. If you get too busy, I’ll assign someone else to assist you. I’m only giving you three days…”

Wen Xin’s gaze was earnest as she looked at Xiao Mi, leaving no room for refusal. She didn’t have much time; she had promised her grandma to return to Beijing before the Spring Festival to spend the New Year with her.

After hearing Wen Xin’s words and wanting to say something, Xiao Mi still clenched her teeth and agreed, “Alright, I’ll start by contacting some people who can be of use. They’ll be more helpful than those two. Let’s forget about them!”

Xiao Mi cast a disdainful look at Qian Meng and Mu Dong sitting on the couch, feeling that taking them along was like carrying a burden–it wouldn’t be very useful and would be less convenient than bringing her own people.

“Hmm, since you dislike them, let them stay here. We’re going to the hospital first to see how the uncle is doing. Sun Ning should be there now; we’re leaving!”
