Chapter 48: We Have To Hold Hands

“What’s wrong?” Xu Yazheng was both shocked and surprised. This was not what Li Weiyin expected, so she had a strange feeling.

“They…” Xu Yazheng scoured her thoughts and said, “I’m not sure if they will come back for dinner…”

The truth was, even though she had taken care of Xu Yimo for a long time, she still hadn’t figured out the pattern of his ‘transformations’.

“Should we call them and ask?” Li Weiyin felt a little confused.

“Call them?” Xu Yazheng panicked. If her sister hadn’t revealed the situation to Li Weiyin yet, how did she have the right to do it? “No need. Just prepare enough for the 4 of us.”

After speaking, she was afraid that Li Weiyin would overthink the situation, so she added, “You will eventually meet them…”

With these words, Li Weiyin felt uncomfortable to ask any further. If she kept asking, it would seem like she was upset that they didn’t appear on her first day there.

So, she smiled with understanding, “OK, go get some rest, Auntie. I want to step out for a bit.”

“Are you buying something? I can call someone to take you,” Xu Yazheng asked attentively.

“No, I adopted a stray dog overseas previously and it is currently kept at my friend’s place. I want to bring it here,” Li Weiyin said. She then asked gently, “Is that OK?”

“Of course,” Xu Yazheng smiled. “This is your home from now on. You can do whatever you like; there’s no need to be cautious. We are a family. You don’t have to be so polite and distant.”

As Xu Yazheng spoke, she pulled out her phone and made a call, “Xiao Dao, come here and drive the Young Madam somewhere… Any car is fine. The Young Madam is picking up a pet… Yes.”

After hanging up the phone, Xu Yazheng smiled at Li Weiyin warmly, “Xiao Dao is our driver. By the way, give me your phone number, let’s exchange contact details.”

Xu Yazheng approached and Li Weiyin quickly entered her phone number into her phone. Xu Yazheng then called the number and Li Weiyin pulled out her phone to hang up and save the number. After that, Xu Yazheng sent her Xiao Dao’s number.

She then grabbed a set of keys near the entrance, “Here are the keys to this place. This is for the gate outside, this if for the front door, this for the garage…”

Once she was done with her explaining, Xu Yazheng added, “There’s usually someone at home. I will explain the rest later. Hurry and do what you need to do.”

“OK. Thank you, Auntie…”

“Yinyin, wait for me!” Xu Yimo rushed down the stairs after he finished bathing and grabbed onto the hem of Li Weiyin’s shirt.

He furrowed his brows, pouted his lips, and stared at Li Weiyin like a pitiful child that was being abandoned.

Li Weiyin lifted her head and looked at Xu Yazheng questioningly, “Can I take Yimo with me?”

She wasn’t embarrassed by Xu Yimo. Plus, Guo Miaoxuan was her best friend so she couldn’t possibly hide this from her.

“Go ahead,” Xu Yazheng pursed her lips and smiled happily. She couldn’t wait for the two to develop their relationship.

The fact that Li Weiyin was willing to take him to meet her friend meant that she truly accepted him. So, she was naturally happy.

“Yay, I can go out to play with Yinyin,” Xu Yimo cheered.

Li Weiyin stretched out her hands and helped him adjust his collar, but Xu Yimo held onto her hand and said, “We have to hold hands.”

“OK, let’s hold hands,” Li Weiyin said dotingly.

The two walked out of the Xu Mansion hand-in-hand. As Xu Yazheng watched them disappear into the distance, she felt a sense of relief.
