Chapter 3: Chapter 3. Blind Date

Ji Ningyan nodded awkwardly. She’d told Qin Nanyu a lot, and he wouldn’t believe her even if she denied it.

“In exchange, if there’s anything I can help you with, I won’t hesitate to help!” Ningyan added. As long as he didn’t mention a divorce now, everything else could be discussed.

Qin Nanyu pondered for a moment, then nodded slightly. “Deal.”

Ningyan hadn’t expected him to be so easy to talk to. She said happily, “Happy to work with you!”

At 6:50 pm, Ji Ningyan arrived at the hotel lobby when Ji Dongting called to rush her.

“Ningyan, what are you doing? It’s almost 7 O’clock, and you’re still not here!”

Ji Dongting’s voice was booming and urgent. He was somewhat regretful. If he had known earlier, he would have had Ji Ningyan come with him.

“Then hurry up and come up. What’s the point of making President Wang wait for so long?”

After hanging up the phone, Wang Guohua, who was smoking next to him, looked over. “President Ji, don’t tell me your daughter will stand me up?”

Ji Dongting smiled apologetically and said in a kind tone, “What are you saying, President Wang? Ningyan is already downstairs. She’ll be coming up immediately. Do you think you can give us some privacy?”

Wang Guohua put out his cigarette but did not go out. “You’re the one who’s joking. I haven’t even seen what your daughter looks like. Why should I avoid her?”

“Don’t talk nonsense. I’m staying here. I’m not going anywhere.”However, President Wang stood up from his seat.

Qin Min had already discussed this with President Wang. She ignored Ji Dongting and said,”Let’s do as Mr. Wang says. He’s right. Ningyan is his future wife. Mr. Wang has to take a look at her personally.”

She was confident in Ji Ningyan’s looks. That face definitely wouldn’t disappoint President Wang!

As soon as she finished speaking, someone knocked on the room door.

Qin Min personally went to open the door. When she saw Ji Ningyan’s appearance, she was stunned.

For registration, Ji Ningyan was dressed in a white shirt and a pair of jeans. She looked very fresh and beautiful, pure and moving.

“Mom, why are you looking at me like that?” Ji Ningyan laughed calmly, her voice jolting Qin Min out of her daze. She returned to her senses, then intimately held onto Ji Ningyan’s hand.

“I just realized that Ningyan is so pretty. President Wang will like her when he sees her.”

Ji Ningyan laughed coldly in her heart, but she didn’t say anything. She allowed Qin Min to lead her in.

There weren’t many people in the private room. Apart from Ji Dongting and Qin Min, there was only President Wang and the two bodyguards he brought.

“Come, Mr. Wang, take a look. This is Ningyan.” Qin Min was the first to speak. Opposite her was ‘President Wang’, who looked young and a little handsome.

Ji Ningyan stood there without moving, but her gaze was focused on the older bodyguard next to President Wang.

He looked like he was in his fifties or sixties. His hair was white and half bald. He had a round and exaggerated beer belly. He looked like a bandit and did not look like a good person.

At this time, the other party was squinting his eyes and looking at her presumptuously, as if he was looking at a piece of fat meat on an anvil.

Ningyan felt a chill in her heart. So, this was what her mother had planned. She was going to find a young man to play the role of CEO Wang, while the actual CEO Wang would be his bodyguard!

When Qin Min saw Ji Ningyan looking at ‘President Wang,’ she thought she was delighted with this blind date. She felt rather pleased with herself.

Thinking there was no way Ji Ningyan could escape her grasp.

“Ningyan, this is President Wang I was talking about. Don’t you think he’s a fine-looking man?” Qin Min touched a sore spot.
