Xia Yingluo also saw the news.

Seeing her good friend slandered for no good reason, she was sympathetic and infuriated. She went to the hospital to visit her again.

Jin Ling’er did not expect her to come and she was currently sitting in a daze on her hospital bed. Lightly faintly shone through the windows and highlighted her weak figure. Her legs were curled on the bed and she buried her face in her knees without moving.

Xia Yingluo walked towards her bed and sat down. She softly called. “Ling’er.”

Only then did Jin Ling’er realize that she was there. She hurriedly wiped her eyes before forcing a smile. “Yingluo.”

Xia Yingluo saw that her eyes were red and guessed that she had cried, so she comforted her. “I saw the news. They’re all saying rubbish. I know that you’re not that kind of person. Ling’er, no matter what happens, I will stand by your side.”

Jin Ling’er was in low spirits. “I want to be with Du Zheng. Am I just being delusional?”

Xia Yingluo said, “Are you willing to give up now?”

Jin Ling’er stopped speaking. She was silent for a while before saying, “What should I do, Yingluo?”

Before Xia Yingluo could answer, the ward door was pushed open and Du Zheng walked in. The two girls turned around and saw that he was holding a bouquet of flowers. They were flaming and dazzling red roses.

“Brother Du Zheng.” Xia Yingluo was the first to stand up and address him.

Du Zheng nodded and looked at Jin Ling’er. “Are you feeling better?”

Jin Ling’er was quiet for a moment before nodding.

Du Zheng took a few steps forward, looked at her carefully and frowned slightly. “Why do you look so weak?” He placed the flowers on the table beside the head, slightly bowed his head and said to Xia Yingluo, “Yingluo, I have something to tell you.”

Xia Yingluo nodded. “Sure.”

The two of them walked to the corridor outside the hospital ward. Du Zheng bowed his head and said to Xia Yingluo, “I want to ask for a favor.”

Xia Yingluo understood what he meant and smiled. “Ling’er did not make a mistake liking you.”

In reality, she had this idea a long time ago. If she could recognize Jin Ling’er as her sister, she would be able to put things right forever. However, she never mentioned this because she wanted Du Zheng to voluntarily suggest this to prove that he was serious about Jin Ling’er. If this criterion of hers was met, it showed how much love was between the two.

Du Zheng tensed up and asked her, “Does this mean you agree?”

Unexpectedly, Xia Yingluo shook her head.

Du Zheng frowned. “Yingluo…”

“Doctor…” Du Zheng still wanted to say something.

Xia Yingluo could not be bothered to listen to their argument. She directly told the head doctor, “Take your people out. Immediately!”
