“Why are you here again?” I looked at him in frustration.

“Has anyone told you, Evelyn, that you treat your customers poorly?” Then, he sighed softly. “‘m worried about your bakery’s business.”

“I didn’t treat customers poorly.” I wanted to roll my eyes, but I was too embarrassed to do something so indecent when I saw his handsome face.

“What do you want to buy?” I said to him as I put on a professional fake smile.

He looked around, as if he were looking at the products in the glass cabinet or looking for someone.

“Are you alone today?”

Hearing his question, I suddenly felt a sense of vigilance. I said carefully, “Mom and Dad will be back soon. What do you want?”

He raised the corners of his mouth gently and his expression looked calm, as if he hadn’t noticed my vigilance.

“Two of the same bread as yesterday.”

My fake smile froze on my face, and a pungent, spicy smell slowly rose from the tip of my tongue. Oh! God! The smell of the wasabi bread yesterday would probably traumatize me for the rest of my life.
“Do you want to take it away or eat it here?”

“Will I get wasabi-flavored bread if I take it away?”

Theard him ask.

In an instant, I felt like the smile on my face had shattered.

Facing his teasing smile, I gave him a reply expressionlessly.

“No, of course not.” I’ll only add a triple combination of chili, pepper, and wasabi in the bread this time. I’m sure you’ll like it.

“Tl eat here.”

What a pity! While I was complaining silently in my heart and getting him some bread, he had already sat in the same seat as yesterday.

Usually, people would only sit there when the store was full. Since it was the corner, the lighting and view weren’t very good.

Unconsciously, my gaze landed on the man’s face, moving from his forehead to the bridge of his nose, and finally on his thin lips as he was eating the bread. Although it had been two days, I still remembered how it felt to kiss him.

“Evelyn.”

“Yes.”

“Will you join me?” He pierced my heart with his voice, the most powerful weapon.

“Of course not. We’re a proper bakery. We don’t offer any service to eat with customers.’ As I thought, I unconsciously took a piece of cake and walked towards him.

Looking at his face, I spooned the cake into my mouth like a robot.

“Lremember you said your name was Liam, right? What’s your full name?”

“Liam Stuart. My name.”

Liam Stuart. I said his name twice, and a strange feeling rose slowly in my chest.

“I think I’ve heard of the surname Stuart before.”

He fell in love with the girl. He liked to tease her and talk to her. He liked to see her stomping in anger. He liked it even more when she blushed and her eyes were full of his face.
‘The time they spent together was beautiful but short. The Crown Prince’s father discovered this.

In the vampire race, it was forbidden to fall in love with humans. Because of a prophecy that couldn’t be verified, every time a vampire and a human fell in love, the ruler would ask the vampire to kill the person he loved with his own hands. If the vampire was unwilling to do so, then the two of them
