Xia Yan happily hitched a ride back to the Mo residence, and when she entered, she saw Jiang Qiu staring at her. She gazed at Qiu Xin, who was crying

Xia Yan knew that Qiu Xin had complained about her. She ignored Qiu Xin and lowered her head to Jiang Qiu to greet her, “Hello there, Mother-in-law.”

Jiang Qiu’s temper flared when she heard Xia Yan’s words. “Where were you? What did you do to Qiu Xin?! Look at how sad she is! Do you know what you did wrong?”

Xia Yan raised her eyebrows and looked at Jiang Qiu with a strange expression. Seeing that Xia Yan was silent, Jiang Qiu thought she had done something wrong and refused to let her go.

“You’ve only just married into my family, yet you’re already so arrogant! You continue to disrespect your elders and bully the weak. You’re such an unruly person!”

If Jiang Qiu knew how Qiu Xin behaved behind her back, she wouldn’t have called Xia Yan unruly. However, Qiu Xin had always acted well, so she knew how to maintain a pitiful image before Jiang Qiu.

Xia Yan stared at Jiang Qiu and replied softly, “I don’t understand what you’re talking about, Mother-in-law.”

“You don’t understand what I said? Are you stupid, or is your entire family uneducated?”

Xia Yan frowned as her eyes revealed a cold expression. But Jiang Qiu was still in a fit of rage and couldn’t care less about Xia Yan’s attitude. “You need to learn to behave yourself if you want to continue living with us! If you don’t apologize to Qiu Xin, you can forget about living here!”

Although Xia Yan was dissatisfied, she appeared calm on the surface. “What do you mean by that, Mother-in-law? Why should I apologize to Qiu Xin?”

Xia Yan adamantly refused to admit her mistake as Jiang Qiu yelled even louder, “A child like you from a small family doesn’t know how to behave in public! You embarrassed Qiu Xin in front of others! Do you intend to make the Mo family look like idi*ts?!”

Xia Yan caught a hidden meaning in Jiang Qiu’s words. ‘She said that I’m a daughter of a small family? Does that mean Qiu Xin is from a big family?’

Xia Yan turned her head and looked at Qiu Xin as she wiped her tears from her face. Then their eyes met.

Qiu Xin instinctively avoided eye contact and used her handkerchief to cover the corners of her eyes. Then she cried even more pitifully.

Xia Yan chuckled and said to Jiang Qiu, “Mother-in-law, you don’t know what really happened. Shouldn’t we discuss it before pointing fingers?”

“What is there to discuss?” Jiang Qiu snorted, “Qiu Xin told me the truth! Moreover, Miss Wang and Miss Li have also told me what happened. Are you insinuating that they framed you?”

Jiang Qiu raised her chin proudly as she spoke, expressing her contempt for Xia Yan. When Jiang Qiu mentioned Miss Wang and Miss Li, Xia Yan guessed that they were the women with Qiu Xin.

Since the two were with Qiu Xin, they naturally held a grudge against Xia Yan. Then Xia Yan took her phone out and pressed a button. A woman’s voice echoed from the phone, “S-So what? That was just a collaboration with another family. Young Master Mo He loves Qiu Xin!”

“That’s right! Young Master Mo He will get a divorce soon and finally marry Qiu Xin!”

Qiu Xin’s face turned ashen when she heard the voices on the phone.

Then Xia Yan’s voice echoed, “So, Miss Qiu Xin is Young Master Mo He’s fiancée even though he’s already married?”

Jiang Qiu slowly turned and looked at Qiu Xin when she heard the voice recording. She held the handkerchief that she wiped Qiu Xin’s tears with and revealed a cold expression. Qiu Xin fiddled with her handkerchief in a panic, trying to think of a way to get out of this predicament.

Xia Yan turned off the recording and asked Jiang Qiu, “Do you still think I should apologize to Qiu Xin, Mother-in-law?”
