Chapter 58: Can you Stop being Mad at Me

Seeing the visible green veins on his forehead, Ye Fei’s voice softened and she leaned into him, “I know I shouldn’t have hidden the fact that I sell alcohol for money from you. But I need money. I need to sustain my life, pay rent, buy groceries, and buy clothes. I’m okay with not asking you for money but I need to make money somehow to support myself.”

Listening to her sobbingly telling her troubles, Su Mo Han’s lips pursed together and the anger in his eyes dissipated somewhat.

“You think I want to sell drinks at a club? Do you think I like being touched by stinky men? I don’t want any of that… every day, I drink so much I almost die. Every day, I come home to throw up. I don’t want any of this. But when I entered jail back then, I never got to graduate university. I now also have a criminal record. I have tried finding different jobs but no one wants me. Nobody wants someone with no educational background and has a criminal record…”

Remembering how difficult it was to find a job, how many rejections she got and how she would encounter a few perverts from time to time, Ye Fei felt very wronged. Plus, for someone like Su Mo Han, he would never understand just how much she needs money. Even her from the past would never understand why someone would put in so much effort for a few hundred dollars.

Listening to what she’s got to say, Su Mo Han went silent and gently held onto her waist.

Feeling his movement, Ye Fei’s sobbing turned into a chuckle. She dabbed her tears away on his clean dress shirt and said softly, “Can you stop being mad at me already?”

Su Mo Han held onto her and sat on the couch. He put her on his legs and frowned, “How much money do you need?”

Ye Fei looked at him, surprised, then gently answered, “A lot.”

“How much?”

“Are you planning on being my sugar daddy now?”

Listening to her rhetorical question, Su Mo Han’s frown deepened but he didn’t ask again.

Rubbing her stomach, Ye Fei pouted, “Hungry.”

Seeing how pitiful she looked, he dialed a number and then hung up. “Go wash up. Then come out and eat something.”

Ye Fei wrapped her arms around his neck and then kissed his cheek. Is this a sunny day after a day of rain?

Watching the woman who was hopping into the bathroom, Su Mo Han took off his dress shirt and walked into the other bathroom.

After Ye Fei walked into the bathroom, she froze a little out of shock. The bathroom floor was heavily padded with anti-slip mats and the entire layout and renovation of this suite looked the same as that of Wan Xin Hotel. From the soft chair to the bedding, even the position of the vase was the same. However, she remembers clearly that the bathroom of Wan Xin Hotel was covered in clean and clear tiles. There definitely wasn’t a layer of anti-slip mats, or else she wouldn’t have fallen so hard last time.

Could it be, that he asked someone to place these on?

Ye Fei looked towards the outside for a while, finding it impossible to believe that the violent man outside would be so mindful of her needs. She couldn’t make sense of it so she gave up on trying.

After she speedily washed up, she impatiently ran outside, bare feet. The food the maid brought in was still steaming hot, so Ye Fei couldn’t wait and dug in right away. She grabbed a custard bun and stuffed her face with it. Her cheeks inflated from the food; she sure was famished.

After Su Mo Han washed up and exited out of the bathroom, he saw her wet hair and how water was dripping down them. The drops of water seeped the cotton and wetted her bathrobe.

He didn’t seem to mind. After he asked the maid to bring her two new sets of clothes, he sat back onto the couch and picked up some documents. What he was flipping through were the same documents he had already seen when Ye Fei stood behind him and wrapped herself around him.
