Chapter 33 First Battle (1)

Outside, the slaughter continued.

In the canteen.

Su Yu and Chen Hao could only hear the sounds of blades and swords clashing, painful cries, and students’ screams of shock… However, they didn’t dare to peek.

Were they having the upper hand or at a disadvantage?

Even Su Yu, who firmly believed that the teachers could win, didn’t know what the situation outside was like.

In his corner, Chen Hao held tightly onto his blade, his countenance turning a little pale and also a little flushed. He wanted to ask Su Yu if they should go out.

However, Su Yu ignored him. His left ear kept on twitching slightly as he was listening to the sounds outside.

Su Yu put his index finger in front of his lips, gesturing for Chen Hao to be quiet.

A short moment later, the sound of heavy footsteps came from outside without any attempts of concealing it.

“Hurry up and come out! The academy has made arrangements for you guys to leave! Go gather at the south gate!”

A slightly anxious voice rang out. A short moment later, a man in his thirties entered the canteen with a blade and called out, “Are there any students here? Hurry up! We won’t be able to hold them off for much longer! The members of the All-Races Sect who have come are too strong! Hurry up and leave the academy!” The anxious voice rang out together with the footsteps.

Chen Hao moved slightly, looking at Su Yu with a bit of anxiety. (A teacher has come to look for us. Should we go?)

Su Yu also squinted his eyes as he looked toward the entrance. He saw the person but wasn’t familiar with him. However, there were over 200 teachers in the academy, and he wouldn’t know all of them.

Did a teacher come to look for them?

“Is there anyone here? The front lines can’t hold them off for much longer! We must leave right away! Hurry up!” The person looked very anxious. The canteen was very big, at least about several thousand square meters. It’d take at least a minute or more to search through the place, and it’d take too much time.

Chen Hao had trouble holding back when he heard the teacher’s tone sounding so anxious and that those in the front lines couldn’t hold on for much longer. This time around, he didn’t wait for Su Yu’s reply and quickly probed his head out, asking, “Teacher, how’s the situation outside?”

The man looked over, unable to conceal the joy in his eyes.

Students were still students. They were too inexperienced.

Even though the academies kept teaching them some rules of survival, it was still not enough.

Prior to this, he had lured out two students that had been hiding in the combat room with these words. In just ten seconds, he had managed to lure the two students out despite the many rooms on the entire floor.

That was great because it would take him at least two minutes to search through all the places.

These children hadn’t experienced setbacks nor had been on the battlefields before. Hence, they would easily give their trust when given just a few words of deceit.

“The situation outside is very bad. Hurry up and come with me. If we don’t leave, it’ll be too late…”

As the man said this, he hurried in Chen Hao’s direction.

Even though the All-Races Sect’s people had inferior numbers, they still had the upper hand in the situation. It was because most of their opponents were in the early or mid-levels of the Thousand Pound Realm.

The rest of their members either went to attack the classrooms or search for scattered students in the academy.

If they were to attack the classrooms, the teachers would be fighting with their lives on the line to protect the students.

On the other hand, although there weren’t many scattered students and they were also hard to find, these students didn’t have anyone to protect them. Therefore, it’d be easier to kill them.

There were several thousand students around. Even if all of them appeared, each of the All-Races Sect’s members would only be able to kill less than ten of them.

And he had gotten three!

“Hurry up and come over, leave the academy…”

The man’s speed was very fast. He didn’t stop even as he spoke, dashing rapidly toward Chen Hao.
