Back on the Sea God, Chu Mingcheng threw the dead anglerfish onto the deck, where it immediately flattened like a pile of rotting flesh.

Next, he picked up the scissors and easily split open the anglerfish’s belly.

A mass of unidentifiable innards flowed out, filling the belly of the anglerfish, followed by a white tender liver, larger than a regular plate.

This liver didn’t look any less appetizing than foie gras, no wonder it was nicknamed “Foie Gras of the Sea.”

Chu Mingcheng carefully snipped the liver out and placed it on the plate.

Then he cut off the gall bladder and threw it along with the rest of the unknown innards into the water, attracting a school of small fish to nibble at them.

Last was the football-sized stomach.

It was bulging, who knew what goodies were inside.

Chu Mingcheng cut off the stomach and set it aside to prevent any dirty contents from contaminating the fish meat.

Suddenly, a silvery Changyu was revealed, along with a pungent fishy smell.

Since the anglerfish’s stomach was also edible and would become quite thick when cooked, he placed it in the plate as well.

Finally, Chu Mingcheng started processing the fish’s meat.

The anglerfish was all cartilage; he used the scissors to cut away the useless parts like the big mouth and gills and threw them away.

Next, he used the fish-killing knife to chop the meat into chunks and put them in a foam box for use as bait.

It was just when he was handling the meat on the tail that he noticed the pattern on the fish flesh was quite attractive, large and white, tender like jelly.

Even though he initially didn’t intend to eat the fish meat, he ended up cutting a large chunk to try it out the next day.
