Gu Jin put on a smile, but her eyes were frigid. “If I sell the wild boar meat in the province, I can sell it for a higher price. Yet, I am selling it for one-twenty in the spirit of communal interest. Not forgetting, you don’t need a meat coupon to buy this meat.

After she said this, Gu Jin brought the child with her and entered the kitchen.

Seeing his reaction, Gu Jin smiled and brought him to the table. “Eat as much as you want, there’s more!”

An Mingji did not make his move when he saw that Gu Jin had not done anything.

Gu Jin noticed this, so she sat down and placed a bowl filled with braised meat into An Mingji’s hand. “Here you go. Eat it while it’s hot.”

“Okay.”

An Mingji sat down, picked up his chopsticks, and dug in.

He had not eaten meat for many years and had almost forgotten how it tasted since his grandmother passed away.

Picking up a slice of braised meat with evenly distributed fat and lean meat, he could not wait to shove it into his mouth.

The meat was tender, aromatic, fatty, but not overly satiating. It was extremely savory, though not to the point of melting in his mouth.

An Mingji swallowed a whole chunk of it without chewing.
