Of course, Nostro Grande still wasn’t quite accustomed to the taste of green tea.

He had merely sipped it politely, then found an excuse to leave early.

Link didn’t follow him out. There was still much about his own affairs that he wanted to discuss with Dean Frist.

“Now that he’s gone, feel free to speak your mind.”

Dean Frist laid down his teacup and looked at Link with a gentle tone.

“Dean, I can’t hide away in leisure forever. Does the academy have any future arrangements for me?”

Link sat up straight and asked earnestly.

Dean Frist countered with a question of his own, “What are your own plans?”

“I’ll follow your lead, Dean.”

Link kicked the ball back into Frist’s court.

After all, the principle was to have one’s own opinions but not reveal them hastily before understanding the new tacit understanding between the Supreme Council and the academy.

It was about being adaptable to the situation.

“Hehe…”

Dean Frist laughed, seemingly at a loss with Link’s roguish attitude.

Really at a loss?

Not necessarily.

In the end, it was because of the significant value that Link had shown which warranted his psychological perception of the academy to continue to be an area of focus.

Otherwise, even if Link had, once again, shown tremendous growth potential, and was expected to ascend to a Level Five Sage within a few years, it wouldn’t have been enough to make Dean Frist so cautious.

To put it bluntly, as far as Level Five Sages go, the academy had plenty of them.

After laughing, Dean Frist spoke seriously, “The academy does indeed have arrangements for you. You will first return to the main campus and teach for three months. During this time, prepare yourself, as you may soon be assigned to enter a Parallel Universe. How do you feel about this plan?”

“I have no objections,”
Link responded truthfully.

“Really no objections?”

“Really no objections.”

“Fine, then that’s settled. If anything comes up on your side, report to me in time.”

“No problem, thank you, Dean.”

Having reached an agreement, the private conversation came to an end.

Leaving there, Link didn’t go back to his home but drove his transportation vehicle to a different place.

Sages Palo, Serene, and Cody had agreed to wait for him there.

Who knows what day it was, as events seemed to clump together.

Quite spacious, Link arrived at the agreed location, a high-end club in the North District of Ravensmouth City.

The club was booked by the three Sages for the day, with no other patrons present, and only their own people sitting inside.

“Sorry, I’m late,”
As soon as he entered, Link immediately offered an apology.

“It’s alright, we haven’t been here long.”

Sage Serene took over the conversation, giving Link an out.

“Take a seat. What would you like to drink?”

Sage Palo, sitting quite close to Sage Serene, asked warmly.

After such a long struggle for power, the two had finally reached a happy conclusion, a cause for celebration.

In private conversations with Jasmine, however, Link didn’t use the term “reaching a happy conclusion”; instead, he described it as Sage Serene having singlehandedly “trained” Palo well.

And Palo had come to understand his own heart, finding the proper attitude and place.

Sage Cody, the signle sage, sat diagonally across from the couple, as far away as possible from the sour smell wafting off them.

They were both so mature, yet after making their relationship official, they stuck together like lovestruck teenagers.

Can’t they just have a proper conversation? Why, even now, are their hands still intertwined?

It’s just an ostentatious display.

“Let’s have some wine.”

Having had tea earlier with Dean Frist, Link felt like changing things up.

With a light snap of his free right hand, Sage Palo summoned a 600-year-old fine wine out of thin air.

An Intelligent Servant arrived smoothly, taking the wine to awaken its flavor.

Another Intelligent Servant brought forth four wine glasses crafted from natural crystal, setting one before each Sage.

Soon, the wine was ready.

The Intelligent Servant who had fetched the bottle earlier poured each of them a glass and then withdrew.

“This place has a nice environment and service,”
Before drinking, Link offered a compliment.

He preferred the tranquility here compared to those clubs run by major families, who employed First Level Wizards without any hope of advancement as attendants.

“I told you Link would like it here, but you didn’t believe me,”
Sage Serene said, looking at Palo beside her with a playful smirk, clearly pleased with herself.

Palo simply picked up his wine glass and did not respond.

He no longer harbored any feelings of jealousy.

“Let’s toast, it’s been a while since we’ve gathered like this,”
Sage Palo shifted the topic and made a proposal.

“It really has been a long time since we last gathered.”

“We definitely should toast.”

“Here’s to us. Cheers!”

The four of them gently clinked their glasses and downed the fine wine in one gulp.

The Intelligent Servant promptly refilled their empty glasses with more wine.

After toasting and celebrating, it was time to move on to the main topic of discussion.

Sage Palo cut straight to the chase, “Link, we’ve invited you here today because there’s a matter we need your input on. We’d like your opinion.”

“What’s the matter? Just tell me.”

Link didn’t hesitate at all, immediately agreeing to help.

“Over the past two years, the Supreme Council has been fighting on two fronts: constantly increasing their efforts to explore Parallel Universes while simultaneously continuing the war against the civilizations of the gods. The academy is in a similar position. Serene and you are somewhat better off, holding positions within the academy, but Cody and I are troubled by being assigned trivial tasks, making it difficult to find time to venture into other worlds.”
