Chapter 7: It’s an Illness, It Has to Be Cured

“How is it? Do you feel like you’re opening up a new continent?”

As Xing Ye leaned his tall body against the side of the car, his arms were folded across his chest. He twisted his head and raised his eyebrows teasingly.

“Shut it!” Li Beichen snapped.

Walking past Xing Ye, he carried her into the hall before setting her down on the sofa.

Meanwhile, Xing Ye stood at the side, gloating. He knew that Li Beichen was a clean freak. It was impossible for him to bring Shi Yuxuan into his residence unless there was something different about her.

To think he even carried her himself! It was an honor for him to be laying her down on the sofa. Unfortunately, the sofa was going to be the unfortunate one.

Li Beichen would definitely order Nanny Wu to throw the sofa away tomorrow morning.

It was too bad.

After all, he was a notorious clean freak when it came to women.

However, this was an illness that had to be treated.

As soon as he had placed Shi Yuxuan down, Li Beichen seemed to detest the warmth that lingered on his palms and he went straight to the washroom to wash his hands.

Looking at his back, Xing Ye shrugged helplessly and smiled. Then, he crossed his long legs and sat on the sofa opposite her, sizing up the woman before him.

On the huge leather sofa, Shi Yuxuan was curled up weakly. She was sleeping soundly. The pink hue on her dimples made her look peaceful and beautiful. Compared to the way she fought with him previously, it was completely different.

The sounds of her breathing filled the air, bringing with them the alluring fragrance of alcohol. Her prickly personality was like a hedgehog’s and it was recklessly toying with the tip of Xing Ye’s nose.

It lingered for a long time.

Even though she did not have heavy makeup on, nor was she sexy or seductive, she was still very attractive.

Her eyebrows were furrowed into two peaks and her forehead was perspiring profusely. Her lips that she had subconsciously bitten had lost almost all their color.

Was she having a nightmare?

Xing Ye walked in front of her with his slender long legs, crouched down, and gently patted her face. “Hello, Sister-in-law?”

It was so cold!

It was as if her body was soaked in water. She was sweating profusely and she was frighteningly cold.

Nightmares were pretty common, but why did Shi Yuxuan look like she could not breathe?

Almost subconsciously, Yuxuan grabbed Xing Ye’s hand.

Her slender fingers dug deeply into his fair skin.

He burst out in pain and shouted, “Damn!”

After failing to successfully castrate him, she’s torturing his hand now?

But, damn. Her palm was really soft.

Xing Ye lowered his eyes and smiled. There was a hint of darkness in that smile.

“Are you done staring at her?”

Li Beichen, who had just come out of the washroom, happened to see Xing Ye half-crouched in front of Shi Yuxuan. His handsome face immediately darkened, it was as if a thunderstorm was about to happen.

He had no choice. He was a clean freak.

Once he had set his mind on his marriage partner, he would not allow other men to touch her even if it was just a little contact.

Xing Ye scoffed in disdain. Standing up, he laid back on the sofa, then casually picked up a stack of newspapers on the table and flipped through them.

“Second Young Master Li, I, Xing Ye, have seen more women than you have seen men. Do you think I care for your fiancée?”

Li Beichen picked up a glass of water and took a sip. “I’m afraid that your hands will dirty my future woman.”
