Chapter 26: Married Just Like That

Two small red booklets[1] found their way into their hands very quickly.

Fang Chixia’s head was still spinning even as they walked out of the municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs building.

To think that she had married herself off just like this!

She was someone who didn’t even have a boyfriend the day before, yet she suddenly had a husband the next day. Perhaps anyone would feel slightly awkward, not yet accustomed to suddenly getting a husband if the same thing were to happen to them.

No matter what their agreement was, he was still a person she would have to live together with for the next four years, so it was right for her to at least remember his name.

Today was the day they got married, yet there wasn’t any wedding ceremony, any flowers or rings. In fact, none of their family and friends knew about it.

The car drove slowly on the road, bringing them forward. However, Fang Chixia didn’t even know where they were going. When she realized this, she asked rather casually, “What are we going to do later?”

The man who was driving slowed the car down and his extremely handsome face, one that was enough to make one’s hormones rage, turned around. In a lazy manner, he replied rather articulately, “We’re having our wedding night!”

When she suggested to marry him, she wasn’t naive enough to think that they would sleep separately, be it on the same bed or in separate rooms, after they got married.

Fang Chixia had already prepared herself for this concern. Since she had already given her first time to him, she wouldn’t think too much of it. When a second or third time happened, she would just treat it as having been bitten several more times by a dog.

Luo Yibei drove her straight to the seaside villa from before. They didn’t even prepare to have dinner, as he carried her up sideways right after closing the door behind him, heading upstairs immediately.

“W-Wait a moment!” Fang Chixia pressed her hand against his chest, stopping him in his tracks.

Luo Yibei raised an eyebrow and stared at her, waiting to see what she would say next.

Eyelashes fluttering slightly, Fang Chixia’s gaze seemed to sparkle at that moment. “I want to have dinner first.”

Her thought was that no matter if it was a true marriage or a paper marriage, their names were still written on the red booklet after all.

Shouldn’t she at least celebrate a little since she had gotten out of single-hood? She wanted to celebrate the fact that she had gotten rid of the annoying pest as she wished, in exchange for giving her body completely to a man for the next four years!

To be frank, she was still a little nervous, hence she didn’t want to return to the room so quickly.
