Chapter 29: So-Called Marriage

Since she might not even meet him apart from when she went to bed, she would still be as free as she was before she got married! She wasn’t at a loss at all!

Besides, now that she was married, at least this place didn’t make her feel as suppressed and pressured as she was when she lived with the Fang family.

At this thought, Fang Chixia relaxed visibly.

She took a towel and was ready to wipe her arms dry when the door was suddenly pushed open from outside and Luo Yibei’s head poked in.

Fang Chixia froze as she sat up instantly. “Why did you come in?”

“I came in to check on you, seeing that you hadn’t come out after so long. I also came to see if you needed any help.” Luo Yibei leaned against the door as he came up with numerous reasons without any change in his expression.

“I don’t need any help. You can go out first!” Fang Chixia requested.

“Why? Is there an issue?” Luo Yibei continued to lean against the door, having no intention of moving his legs.

His words made Fang Chixia freeze.

Indeed, they had already gotten married, so were there any issues with him being in the bathroom while she was bathing?

Luo Yibei stared at her quietly as he closed the bathroom door behind him instead.

Mist filled the bathroom.

A large portion of Fang Chixia’s body was covered by the rose petals floating upon the surface of the water. The only parts exposed were her neck and head. Her dark, inky hair was spread out casually as it seemed like her hair was blooming and spinning in the water.

Her skin was really fair. Several strands of hair resting at her collarbones interlaced with each other and the scene of the contrast of black and white made it look like an ink painting. Her beauty was so natural, yet the visual impact she gave off was strong and unforced.

Eyes followed her smooth, creamy skin and with a few droplets of water resting on it, she looked as refreshing as a lily blooming on the surface of the water.

As Luo Yibei stared at her quietly, his gaze became extremely dark.

He wasn’t one without self-control. With his high status as Rong Xi’s CEO, there were definitely women who played all kinds of tricks to try to approach him. However, none of them were able to get a reaction out of him.

Fang Chixia was an exception!

“Let’s bathe together!” Within several steps, he was already in front of her and he stepped into the bathtub. His sweeping movements created large ripples of water across the surface of the water.

The bathtub wasn’t small to begin with. However, with the addition of the man, Fang Chixia felt it was a little squeezy no matter how she moved.

Instinctively, she wanted to crawl out of the bathtub. However, her feet had just stepped out of the bathtub when he caught her wrist. Suddenly, he pulled…

Fang Chixia’s body tripped and fell on him.

The two bodies with drastically different temperatures fell onto each other like a collision of fire and ice. Both of them froze for a moment before Fang Chixia instinctively wanted to push him away. “Luo Yibei, don’t…”

“Don’t what?” Luo Yibei asked deliberately, even though he knew what she meant. His long arm wrapped itself around her waist as he turned slightly with her body pressed against his. With a turn that felt like the earth and sky had exchanged places, their positions were swapped as he pressed her against the edge of the bathtub.

“Wait, just wait a little…” Fang Chixia avoided him left and right as one of her arms pressed against his chest, pushing him away by reflex.

Luo Yibei had already been stopped by her countless times just tonight so he was already greatly displeased. His gaze on her was sharp, as if he was shooting daggers at Fang Chixia and would instantly kill her without any regard if she dared say one more word.

He stared at her like that for a long while, before the corners of his lips twitched into a scoff. “Miss Fang, are you nervous right now? Or did you think that a marriage would be settled after two names and a photo were placed in one red booklet?”

He didn’t forget their first night together, the wild actions she had as she bit and scratched him while lying under his chest body. She had even cooperated with him and did it several times that night.
