Chapter 33: Got Shot Even When Lying Down

Fang Chixia understood what he meant. She went around the front of the car, opened the car door and sat inside.

Actually, where Luo Yibei was going was not along the way, but he did not say anything, so she did not know.

The car drove out of the villa and slowly left the seaside. When they passed by a square, an advertisement for Rongxi’s new jewelry for the season was playing on the large TV screen just above the square.

The advertisement was about a newly-designed necklace. It was an exquisite style and the pendant was in the shape of a star. It was similar to the necklace ‘Asteria’ which had amazed the world more than 20 years ago.

The background was beautiful. It was a pure white world, with feathers falling on the snow-white sheets that had a necklace on it. Visually it was very pleasing.

The designer’s name was Sha Zhixing!

She was Rongxi International’s top designer, an icon of the jewelry design world, and the wife of the former CEO of Rongxi, Luo Xichen.

Fang Chixia liked to read books about design when she was free and knew a little about jewelry. When she saw Sha Zhixing’s name, the admiration in her eyes could not be hidden.

Her eyes were transfixed on the advertisement for a while and even tugged at Luo Yibei’s hand to ask him to look. “This design is beautiful, isn’t it?”

The cold-faced man focused on driving and ignored her.

“I heard that Miss Sha is the female head of Rongxi International, and her husband’s business happens to be in this area. Both husband and wife’s occupations fit so well, so it’s unreasonable if Rongxi isn’t the business empire it is now, right?

“How talented in jewelry appreciation do you think a child born in such a family must be? Others, when they were young, were still playing with plasticine. The children of the Luo family should be playing with jewelry as toys, right?

“It’s also said that Mr. Luo Xichen and Miss Sha Zhixing were childhood sweethearts. Second Master Luo is usually very cold, so don’t you think it’s quite unfitting to use the words ‘childhood sweethearts’, which sounds so loving, warm and sentimental, on a person with a cold expression all day?

For some reason, she was talking a lot. She was usually not someone who spoke too much, but when she saw the advertisement of Rongxi’s jewelry, she could not help offering her comments and her enthusiasm seemed to be running high the more she spoke.

Like that, Second Master Luo and Sha Zhixing got shot even when lying down and not having done a thing.

The veins on Luo Yibei’s forehead throbbed.

Turning his head, he looked at her without expression. “Have you said enough?”

Fang Chixia looked at his gloomy expression, stuck out her tongue and turned her head to continue to look at the scenery outside as if nothing had happened.

She was not talking about him, so why was he pulling such a long face?

Luo Yibei snorted and his expression was cold and dark.

This girl was quite good at acting. If she had not appeared outside Rongxi yesterday, he would have almost believed that she really knew nothing about his background!

The car turned quiet after he had spoken.

After the car stopped outside C University, Fang Chixia got out.

She and An An had lunch in a restaurant outside the university campus. They were eating and the big TV screen in the restaurant suddenly changed to an exclusive interview.

Fang Chixia did not care at first and ate with her head down, until An An exclaimed, “Look! It’s Young Master Bei from Rongxi International!”
