The words shocked Wei Jingjing and Xiao Tang.

Perhaps, because the conversation topic was too shocking, Xiao Tang even forgot that the traffic light had turned green. He instead turned his head around and looked at Xia Siyu. He did not drive forward until the cars behind them started honking.

Wei Jingjing calmed himself down after a while, then asked, “When did it happen?”

Xia Siyu tightened her jacket around her and looked outside the window. The cars were speeding along, leaving behind everything by the road—the cars, the street lamps, the pedestrians, and the scenery. It was like the past few years. She had been moving forward, while some people and events became the dust in her memory.

“A long time ago. Before I debuted.”

It was obvious that Xia Siyu did not want to say anything more. She closed her eyes while the scene outside bustled.

Wei Jingjing wanted to ask more, but she knew that even if she asked further, she would not receive anything. Hence, she could only shut up.

Xia Siyu appeared like a foolish girl. She only did things in a straight line and was very direct. She was loud and simple-minded. If someone sold her off, she would even help the person count the money they earned.

This request was logical. Wei Jingjing immediately told Xiao Tang to turn around and drive toward Xia Siyu’s apartment. However, when they were a street away from the apartment, Wei Jingjing told Xiao Tang to stop the van. She wanted to scout the road first. “Xiao Tang, don’t stop here either. I’ll go have a look first. If nothing is going on, I’ll tell you to drive in.”

Xiao Tang nodded. After Wei Jingjing stepped out, he drove in circles in the vicinity, waiting for an update.

Wei Jingjing swiped her card and went inside Xia Siyu’s apartment complex. Indeed, there were not many paparazzi there. However, Wei Jingjing was still worried, so she entered the neighborhood further. She would only be relieved after seeing Xia Siyu’s apartment.
