After being through so much today, Chen Qian felt down a little bit. She said thanks and was ready to get off the car.

Jiang Jingcheng stopped her and shouted subconsciously, “Qian!”

Chen Qian turned her head, looked at Jiang Jingcheng with doubt, and asked, “What’s wrong? Anything else?”

The look on Jiang Jingcheng’s face was a bit strange. He looked at her and hesitated.

Chen Qian knew what happened to Jiang Jingcheng after seeing his expression. Chen Qian said softly, “Jingcheng, is there anything wrong? Don’t worry. Just tell me.”

Despite Chen Qian’s sympathetic attitude, Jiang Jingcheng became more guilty. He made up his mind and said to Chen Qian, “Qian, I am so sorry for the task today. I blew it.”

Speaking of the incident today, Chen Qian scolded him in her heart. What a good-for-nothing! Never could he accomplish anything. Such a lousy partner.

Though complaining in her heart, Chen Qian was trying to be considerate and said anxiously, “No. Jingcheng, I do not blame you. I know you have done your best. It is my fault. It’s my fault to put you in this situation!”

Jiang Jingcheng felt even more uncomfortable after hearing Chen Qian’s soothing words. He was trying to help but inflicted trouble on Chen Qian.

The reason why Chen Qian felt bad tonight must be attributed to the incident in the daytime. If she encountered any danger while wandering alone in the evening, her life would be ruined. Jiang Jingcheng would live with regrets for the rest of his life.

Chen Qian said gratefully to Jiang Jingcheng, “Jingcheng, thank you. But keep safe. Besides, if you don’t want to be an undercover anymore, just let me know. I will be fine with your decision.”

The tears were pouring from Chen Qian’s eyes while she was speaking.

Jiang Jingcheng felt distressed after seeing the scene. He reached out and hugged Chen Qian. He said, “Qian, I won’t let you be through such grievance. I will always defend you.”

Chen Qian smirked in secret. It seemed like her plot just succeeded.

After they hugged for a while, Chen Qian seemed to think of something and exclaimed, “Oh, I’ve almost forgotten it.”

Jiang Jingcheng looked at Chen Qian and asked, “Qian, what’s wrong?”

Chen Qian hesitated and said, “Do you know the bidding conference a few days later?”

Jiang Jingcheng thought about it and said, “You mean the bidding conference in the south of the city?”

Chen Qian nodded affirmatively. Jiang Jingcheng said, “I know. Gu Yan’s studio is also preparing to participate the conference. Is there any problem with the bidding?”

Chen Qian dropped her eyes and lowered her voice deeply. Her weak look made Jiang Jingcheng feel distressed. It was attributed to his miscalculation. If he changed the strategy, maybe Gu Yan would leave Mo Yichen.

Jiang Jingcheng felt guilty that he still failed to figure out the character of Gu Yan after so long. He was the one to blame.

“How can I blame you? I know it’s not your fault. Gu Yan is not like what she appears, a carefree and innocent woman. She is full of tricks. It won’t end up well for us if we deal with her like this.” Chen Qian said.

“It is my fault. I have underestimated Gu Yan. I didn’t expect her to be so clever. We have gone this far, but she still wasn’t fooled. Maybe this is fate. I’d better go home and have a good rest. Let’s talk about it another day.” Chen Qian said and looked helplessly at Jiang Jingcheng. Then she bypassed him and walked into the community with her bag…

“Yes. Us. When do you want to confess to others that we are lovers?” Jiang Jingcheng said and stood where he was. His voice become lower and lower. Seeing this woman full of doubts, Jiang Jingcheng felt sad and became skeptical of the relationship between them.
