Chapter 321 Appreciation for being recognized
“Everybody listen to me. I’ll say a very important thing to you.” Gu Yan, who stood in the middle of the studio, said with a beamish smile.

“President Gu, don’t keep us guessing!” The employees of the studio looked at each other and were effusive in their excitements.

The staff seemed to guess the good news because everyone was in high spirit with a smile, as if they were reborn.

Gu Yan cleared her throat and smiled more complacently.

“The project of the south of the city has finally come to an end. You don’t have to work overtime from today!” Gu Yan shook the portfolio in her hand and rose her tone.

Gu Yan stood in the middle of the crowed. Her eyes were particularly attractive, and her red lips like cherry glistened against the sun. Besides, Gu Yan in a professional dress now was more feminine!

When everyone heard the news, the whole studio was like blew up. Although they might guess what the news was, they couldn’t help but be excited.

The tears twinkled in the eyes of female employees. They hugged each other excitedly and stamped their feet happily! The men gave high fives with each other and cheered!

The enthusiasm of the whole studio was aroused. Gu Yan felt the hurrah was too piercing. These people who had worked in the studio for more than ten days finally burst into cheers, as if they were raptors being shut in cages and now they finally got free!

“Everybody calm down. Calm down. Don’t turn the building over.” Gu Yan used all her strength to raise her tone so that everyone could hear her voice.

However, everything was to no avail. Gu Yan’s voice was like submerged in the sea of people. It couldn’t attract the attention of everyone.

Jiang Jingcheng frowned heavily, who stood on the side of the crowd. He was also surprised by the response. He covered his ears hardly and sipped his lips with a painful look.

Jiang Jingcheng caught a glimpse of Gu Yan who was surrounded by the crowd. He had a sense of pity in his heart unexpectedly because of her bewildered look. She was the second woman who let Jiang Jingcheng have this kind of emotion.

Seeing the action of Gu Yan, Jiang Jingcheng looked around with split vision. All people around looked crazy. He guessed that Gu Yan wanted to make them calm down, so he slowly walked to Gu Yan. He took Gu Yan’s arm and pulled it back. Then he did not hesitate to block Gu Yan’s front.

Gu Yan subconsciously retreated. Looking at this tall man in front of her, Gu Yan widened her eyes and felt dizzy. What happened?

Jiang Jingcheng did not notice that Gu Yan was full of astonishment. His masculinity made Gu Yan feel panicked suddenly. She realized that she was only a powerless woman in front of the man, which made her feel very unhappy!

The action of Jiang Jingcheng was fierce, which made Gu Yan’s body lean backwards. Thanks to her sensitive response, she avoided her beautiful face to kiss the floor.

Gu Yan was panicked while looking at Jiang Jingcheng. He took the documents on the table and hit the desk vigorously. Everyone including Gu Yan was shocked by his actions. They all covered their mouths and stared at him blankly.

It was so quiet that no one didn’t dare to say a word…

“Well, please be quiet. After all, the whole building is not all ours. Do not get too excited. Please calm down.” Jiang Jingcheng smiled and said. From time to time, he turned around to look at Gu Yan’s expression. He was afraid that his kind actions might cause her dissatisfaction.

The expression in Jiang Jingcheng’s eyes was caught by Assistant Liu. It was full of tenderness, as if he was looking at his lover. If she were the person who Jiang Jingcheng was looking at, she would feel warm and soft in her heart. Unfortunately, that person was not Assistant Liu. She cooled her ardor when seeing that their relationship was so close. She clenched her fists tightly. Her nails hurt her palms.

“Everybody, take it easy. President Gu hasn’t finished her speech. Let’s listen to her carefully.” Jiang Jingcheng stretched out his arm, like a gentleman and made room for Gu Yan.

“In fact, there is nothing to do. I just hope everyone does not be happy too early. After all, this is just the first step in our success. Next, I hope we can work carefully to finish the project smoothly. After it is done, I will invite you to go out together. How about it?” Gu Yan’s tone was still as gentle as ever. When they saw that President Gu was not angry, they smiled again.

“Well, there’s nothing to do. Go to work. Let’s make persistent efforts.” Gu Yan put a gesture to inspire everyone to be meticulous about their work.

The crowd gradually dispersed. There were only Jiang Jingcheng and Gu Yan in situ. Gu Yan was looking at her phone. Apparently, she did not find Jiang Jingcheng was next to her.

“Gu Yan, I am going on a business trip for a few days. Take care of yourself. Xiangyan always talks about you these days. Remember to see him. It’s getting cold. Remember to wear more clothes.”

Looking at the text message sent by Mo Yichen, the smile on Gu Yan’s face became stiff immediately. She was very upset. He was going to travel. But they would meet again, why did she feel so reluctant? Well, in these days, she would live alone and could not see her beloved. She could not reach his shoulder and could not feel the warmth of his chest. When thinking of it, Gu Yan was very upset.

“Do you need me to give you a ride?” Gu Yan quickly typed these words, and a sense of hidden bitterness flashed through her eyes. But then, she immediately deleted it and re-typed, “Let me see you off!”

Gu Yan stared at the phone screen and waited for Mo Yichen’s reply. When hearing a cough next to her, she finally realized that Jiang Jingcheng was next to her, who looked at her awkwardly.

“What’s the matter? Is there anything wrong?” Gu Yan put her phone into the pocket immediately and looked at Jiang Jingcheng with patience.

“President Gu, I mainly want to thank you. Thank you for believing me. When I just entered the company for a few days, you arranged for me to do such a large project. I have to thank you today. Thank you for your support.”

Jiang Jingcheng said with a bit of excitement and bowed his head. His voice was close to hoarse.

“Jingcheng,” Gu Yan just wanted to say something but was interrupted by Jiang Jingcheng.

“President Gu, please let me finish. As the saying goes, “Talents are everywhere, however seldom can they be recognized”. You recognized me, and I am very grateful for your recognition. You are my savior really. I will live up to your expectations of me certainly!”
