There was tension in the air as Qin Zhiyou stared at Secretary Wang sharply. Secretary Wang was more than a little intimidated and he held down the desperate urge to flee.

As Qin Zhiyou’s secretary, he was the one making all the arrangements for Qin Zhiyou’s female companions. He was also one of the few who knew of Lu Weixi’s identity, and he knew that she worked at Lu Yuan Interiors.

Xiao Chen and Xiao Qian nodded happily and immediately started searching for the restaurants nearby. Picking up her phone, Lu Weixi was going to look as well. It was only then that she saw the message from Qin Zhiyou sandwiched in all her unread messages.

That could cost her.

Like that she condensed the hour-long journey into a forty-minute one. Slamming onto the brakes, she parked the car and rushed into the house without waiting for Auntie Hao to welcome her.

“Is he back yet?”

Before Auntie Hao could answer, a calm voice rang from behind her. “You’re quite eager.”

Lu Weixi turned and saw a slender man alight from the car and walk towards her.

It was the man himself.

Taking a deep breath, Lu Weixi was about to greet him when he walked right past her and changed into slippers before heading upstairs without acknowledging her further.

Secretary Wang was running after him with a document bag. He paused when he saw Lu Weixi and greeted her politely before he ran after Qin Zhiyou. Shortly after, Lu Weixi heard the door to the study room slam shut from the entrance on the first floor.

What about her money? When would he give it to her?
