Chapter 26: Rules in the Business World (2)

Before Qin Zhiyou went to Europe, he had already found out about the situation and knew that her mother’s condition had worsened. The original plan this time was for him to stay in Europe for around one more week. Calculating the time, he had been there for about a month. Coincidentally his worrying relatives were also making their moves back in the country, so he decided to return earlier.

Looking at the messages from her on his phone, other than the message today, the previous one was from last month. She had not sent him a single text or called him a single time for an entire month.

There were still a few days left in this month…

Qin Zhiyou’s long body leaned against the wall of the corridor outside the door, as he looked at his phone for an extended period of time, but Yu Sixing and He Weiyou did not notice when they walked over.

Yu Sixing asked, “Is it because of the sickening thing in your family? Your Aunt came to meet my Old Master a few days ago with Zhimei. It seems like she wants to propose a marriage alliance with us.”

He Weiyou smiled and teased, “Isn’t that a good thing? You get a free wife.” As he spoke, he passed the alcohol to Qin Zhiyou, who drank a mouth from it. His long fingers held the cup, as his lips curved up lightly without speaking.

In response, Yu Sixing gave a ‘what’s so good about that expression’ before continuing, “But when my brother went to America last month, he said he had met Zhisu in Berkeley. Zhisu said he passed the debate and might come back very soon.”

The moment he said that, Qin Zhiyou’s brows immediately furrowed as his long fingers held the alcohol glass even tighter. After a while, his lips curved up into a cold smile and he raised his neck and finished the alcohol in one shot, before shoving the glass back to Yu Sixing. Qin Zhiyou put his hands in his pockets and left the place in large strides.

He Weiyou nudged Yu Sixing with his elbow and whispered, “If you don’t know what to say, just shut up.”

Who did not know that Old Master Qin liked Qin Zhisu the most amongst the younger generation? Some rumors claimed that he had the intention of handing down the Qin family business to Qin Zhisu.

It was only then that Yu Sixing realized he had said something wrong. Putting down the glass, he and He Weiyou followed Qin Zhiyou out of the night club area and down the elevator. When they reached the restaurant, Qin Zhiyou stopped in his tracks. Yu Sixing could not stop in time and almost bumped into Qin Zhiyou head-on. At the side, He Weiyou pulled him back into a corner and pointed. “Eh, don’t you think that woman looks a little like Lu Weixi?”

The moment he said that, Qin Zhiyou’s feet changed direction and he directly walked toward the restaurant.

Even though Lu Weixi was smiling, her smile was clearly stiff. Actually, she came prepared today with Xiao Qian and Xiao Chen on her left and right, who were responsible for helping her drink the alcohol. On CEO Liu’s side, there was also his secretary and his chauffeur. Not mentioning his chauffeur, his secretary was definitely very experienced, as she managed to knock Xiao Qian and Xiao Chen down alone.

When the extra people left the scene, CEO Liu drank and moved to sit beside Lu Weixi, on the circular couch they were sitting on. His rather horny face stared straight at Lu Weixi’s cheeks and figure, as he kept drinking alcohol from time to time, as if her face and figure were great appetizers.

Lu Weixi was very uncomfortable from his stares, but she still forced a smile as her entire person gradually moved backward. “CEO Liu, may I know what suggestions do you have about the proposal I mentioned earlier?”

CEO Liu acknowledged her, but his rat eyes kept staring at her as if he was afraid that she would run away. He inched over in a smiling manner. “I do have some opinions about it, but it’s not too convenient here. Perhaps we can find a quiet spot and talk about this in detail.”
