49 Perhaps This Was Love
Oliver Walker knew that it wasn’t easy to regain his wife’s trust, but it should not be too difficult to start!

“Once William Davis learns that Olivia is getting treated at the hospital, do you think that he will allow us here?”

William Davis was her cousin-brother, the young master of the Davis family.

He played a considerable role when she got kicked out of the company.

Ever since she was young, she had been talented, and she was gifted in the business world.

She revived the Davis family from the dead multiple times and brought it to where it was today.

Due to how great she was, it brought along jealousy.

Sometimes, she even wondered if the case about her father taking money from the company was merely a scheme—simply an excuse to kick her out.

Since this was a huge company, it wouldn’t be difficult to come up with something like this.

Plus, she was a woman. She was merely the youngest daughter of the family but also the smartest. Therefore, she ended up being the CEO of the company.

That was when it brought fear, and everything else happened accordingly.

Oliver Walker comforted them, “If William Davis dares to cause trouble for us, I will teach him a lesson.

“I will take back everything that the Davis family took from us!”

Did he care about them?

Obviously not!

If he already finished settling things back at home, he would have stomped on the ground that belonged to the Davis family.

For the past 8 years, they were definitely the reason why his mother-in-law, wife, and daughter lived such a terrible life.

Mary Grimm finally spoke, “Don’t forget that Olivia Walker is your daughter.”

No matter if it was her or Emilia, they did not have any expectations from Oliver Walker.

They were only saying this so that he would leave.

“Of course!”

Oliver Walker quickly answered, “I will go right now. Just wait for me, and I’ll bring back dinner as well.”

He knew what his mother-in-law and wife were thinking, but he had to make sure that this was done right so that their relationship would improve.

As for the invitations, he was the one who distributed them. They should already be printed by now, and he would be able to collect them soon.

He could have gotten James Floss to do so, but he didn’t because he wanted to buy them food personally.

Mary Grimm sighed, “He would leave and stop disturbing us from now on.”

Emilia nodded her head, “Definitely!”

She was aware that Oliver Walker would never get his hands on the invitation, but she still felt hopeful.

Perhaps this was love.

Even when you know that it was impossible, you would still hope for a miracle.
