Only Pei Zhen would dare to comment that Fu Sichen’s nature-defying good looks were scary.

Fu Sichen was almost amused. He had liked Pei Zhen for so many years, of course he knew what his young boyfriend was thinking.

“Fine, it was that cheap youth who was at fault.” Putting aside the youth who was lusting after his young boyfriend, Fu Sichen changed the topic by planting a full kiss on Pei Zhen’s lips. “Shouldn’t we renew our marriage after a long separation?”

The first step in a marriage would be to kiss to the heart’s content!

Fu Sichen pressed Pei Zhen up against the door, a hand locked on the young boyfriend’s waist and the other on the back of his head. They sealed their lips in a grinding kiss. There was a certain urgency in the union, having been apart for days. Fu Sichen parted his teeth and slid his tongue into Pei Zhen’s mouth, searching desperately and not letting up.

Pei Zhen’s legs weakened, and his breath shortened, not able to hold out any longer.

Until…

“Pei Pei, there will be a press… conference… later.”

The socialite flower of Dong Hai City said as he hurried towards the resting room and started to stammer as he suddenly saw the scene unfolding before him. For some reason, even though he was obviously a straight man, he turned red when he saw the two men kissing.

Pei Zhen too turned a bright scarlet. His peach blossom eyes were misty, and he raised his eyes at Xiao Nian, looking very seductive.

Xiao Nian couldn’t help but notice that the look was very familiar.

He recalled an occasion some time ago when Daddy Pei and Best Actor Fu went to the toilet together and returned all red in the face. Daddy Pei had stayed over at the serviced apartment, and when he had gone to pick Daddy Pei up the next day, Daddy Pei again had this same look on his face.

Oh… the two of them must have had something going on since those occasions.

What did he say it was back then?

Fever?

Oh, good grief!

Xiao Nian suddenly saw the light and wanted to slap himself. He was shocked by his own stupidity!

“Is that all?” The interruption annoyed Fu Sichen, who reluctantly pulled his lips away from his young boyfriend’s, although, he was still holding Pei Zhen in an ambiguous embrace. “You can go if you’re done.”

“Yes, CEO Fu. I’ll scram right away, CEO Fu.”

Now that he had caught on, Xiao Nian no longer cared to contemplate the extent of his own stupidity. Before he disappeared, he added annoyingly, “The press conference starts in thirty minutes.”

The two entwined men, who had been interrupted for longer than they could stand, glared icily at the retreating Xiao Nian.

Eventually, Pei Zhen had to leave for the press conference.

Fu Sichen petulantly followed Pei Zhen into the resting room and watched as Pei Zhen removed his makeup and changed. But whenever he tried to get anywhere with Pei Zhen, the latter would cruelly push him away.

“Do you have any assignments tomorrow?”

“Yes, and for the whole month as well,” Pei Zhen replied as he quickly changed into his suit.

“I’ve instructed Xiao Nian.” Fu Sichen looked annoyed. “He wasn’t to take on too many assignments. I’m going to have to change your manager.”

“Change to whom?” Pei Zhen chortled.

“That goes without saying,” Fu Sichen said, once again persisting in embracing Pei Zhen from behind, “Me. What do you think?”

Pei Zhen looked at Fu Sichen in the eye through their reflection in the full-length mirror and stopped mid-way through knotting his tie. “You?”

“Uh-huh.”

“And if you were my manager… you wouldn’t be taking on assignments of your own?”

“Of course I will.” Fu Sichen brought his lips right next to Pei Zhen’s ear, suggestively. “I’ll only take on those with you in it.”

His breath was warm, brushing against Pei Zhen’s ear and turning it red. Pei Zhen shuddered involuntarily. “For real?”

Fu Sichen was just 27, and even though they had come out of the closet, it was the peak of their career—they had a great future before them.

Being selective of assignments simply meant partial retirement. Would he want to do that?

Pei Zhen was surprised, but seeing that Fu Sichen nodded, he was quick to accept. “Sure, if you really want to retire, I can take care of you.”
