Chapter 42: A Bunch of Women, Including You?

“Let go of me,” Shui Miaomiao repeated abashedly.

“Tell me what you know, and I’ll let you go,” Shen Mochen said, squinting at her. There was a hot gleam in his wickedly charming eyes. He looked even more gorgeous and attractive.

His lust for her made him look a little sexier and more charming.

“You…” Shui Miaomiao wanted to yell at him. However, she did not have enough strength to break free from him. Besides, they were in his office. Yelling at him would be a suicide mission.

Shui Miaomiao cleared her throat. A strange expression spread across her face. She exhaled deeply as her eyes narrowed. Then, she curled her lips up into an innocent smile and said, “President Shen is well developed, satisfied?”

“How do you know that I am well developed? Because I can’t get a girlfriend?” Shen Mochen asked rhetorically. He used her own words against her.

Shui Miaomiao gave him an uneasy smile.

“It’s not that you can’t get a girlfriend, it’s just that you turn your nose up to most girls. You are so handsome and elegant, so fit and strong. You are the vice president of this school and such an important person in the Shen Group. All you would have to do is wave your hand, and I’m sure many women would throw themselves at you. How is it possible that you can’t get a girl?” Shui Miaomiao asked, lavishing compliments on him.

Shen Mochen looked down at her smart mouth and asked, “A bunch of women, huh? Including you?”

“Me? I’m not a woman, I’m a mom,” Shui Miaomiao said, mocking herself.

Shen Mochen’s eyes darkened a little, moved his hand away from her hip, and asked, “Let’s have lunch together?”

Lunch?

She looked at him and wished that she could throw up the food she had eaten yesterday on him.

“No, it’s fine. I’m meeting someone,” Shui Miaomiao rejected him gently.

Shen Mochen arched his eyebrow and asked, “A man or a woman?”

Shui Miaomiao was puzzled by his words. Man or woman, why did it matter to him?

To make her lie believable, Shui Miaomiao played along with his words and said, “Both a man and a woman.”

The glare in his eyes undoubtedly faded a little. He said, “The timing is just right. I am also going to eat. You don’t mind if I join you, do you?”

Shui Miaomiao grinned as she moved to the side. When her hand touched the doorknob, she answered, “Sorry, I do mind.”

She opened the door and walked backed out of it swiftly. Before Shen Mochen could react, she slammed the door shut.

Thud, thud, thud. She ran away.

Shen Mochen’s wise eyes darkened, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the boxers she dropped on the floor unwittingly. He bent forward, picked them up, and put them into the gift bag.

His phone rang–it was Jiang Nanfeng. He picked it up.

“Bro, I followed your orders and did a background check on this Shui Miaomiao. She is, indeed, weird. She showed up suddenly at the Shui family’s front door with her five-year-old son out of nowhere when she was 22. No husband, no boyfriend, she’s all alone.

They did a DNA test, and she was proven to be Shui Qiangyi’s biological daughter. Then, Shui Qiangyi arranged for her to study Broadcasting and Hosting in the film academy. Afterward, Shui Qiangyi became a vegetable because of a car accident a year ago. She was thrown out of the family by Shui Qiangyi’s current wife, Zuo Yingying. Since then, she worked part-time at GBB to provide for her son.

The strange thing is that I couldn’t find any of her information before she turned 23, nothing. It seems like someone has deliberately destroyed it.”

“What if she was not called Shui Miaomiao before that?” Shen Mochen took a guess.

“I’ll try to find out. Oh, right, have you eaten?” Jiang Nanfeng caringly asked.

Shen Mochen raised his eyebrow. He snorted and said, “What do you think?”
