Grimacing with pain, Xia Xiaotong touched the back of her head gingerly as a trail of blood spread between her fingers.

Glaring at An Ziqi, Xia Xiaotong wanted nothing than to charge at her and tear her to pieces.

Hearing the commotion, the trainer rushed over to them.

When she saw traces of blood on the floor, she immediately examined the wound on Xia Xiaotong’s head.

Having ascertained that the injury was not serious, she summoned the medical team to dress her wound. Looking grim, she asked, “What on earth happened here?”

Indeed, in the preceding contests, some contestants had resorted to dirty tricks to reduce the number of competitors. However, this was the first time that something as devious as this had occurred on the very first day of training.

“I was practicing on my own. I don’t know how Xia Xiaotong suddenly appeared and ran into me from behind,” An Ziqi replied, a picture of innocence.

“Rubbish. Clearly, you had intended to make me fall!” Xia Xiaotong retorted angrily.

Frowning, the trainer looked at those who had gathered around.

“Did anyone see what happened?”

Lin Kelan looked at An Ziqi with a cunning smile and spoke up.

“I can testify that it was An Ziqi who had intentionally caused Xia Xiaotong to fall. By causing injury to her, the number of competitors will be reduced. She is such a devious and mean person. I suggest that the judges’ committee disqualify her from the contest.”

“Lin Kelan, there are many pairs of eyes that have witnessed the incident. Even if you dislike me, you should not abuse your position as the daughter of Changxing Group’s boss to spin a story and incriminate me.”

An Ziqi raised her eyebrows. Her statement had served two purposes. First, to inform the trainer that there was bad blood between her and Lin Kelan, implying that the latter’s words were not to be believed. Second, she insinuated that Lin Kelan was using her position to ensure that no one would dare open up and say anything to offend her.

The trainer’s frown deepened. In fact, she had seen what had taken place.

Hearing what An Ziqi had just said, she made a good guess as to what the truth was.

With a threatening expression, Lin Kelan glanced at the woman.

She had not considered that the training center would have a monitoring system installed. What was more, she had not expected someone to even dare defy her and interfere in this matter.

“Come with me to the control room, the three of you. Everyone else, keep practicing.”

Frowning, the trainer proceeded to walk outside.

Immediately, Xia Xiaotong turned pale.

She darted a glance at Lin Kelan, asking for help. However, Lin Kelan simply glared fiercely at her.

There was nothing Xia Xiaotong could do but to follow meekly.
