Chapter 31: Seemingly a Little Gentler

The pain coming from her ankle was so intense that An Ziqi subconsciously lifted her leg and pushed it forward with all her might.

However, Xiao Moli caught her foot and held it.

“Stupid woman, don’t move.”

“It hurts.”

An Ziqi kicked her foot.

Glaring at her, Xiao Moli pressed down hard on her foot to stop her from struggling.

“Idiot. If we do not let the blood clot to dissolve, your foot will be even more swollen by tomorrow.”

As he spoke, he reached toward the part of her ankle where the gel had been applied and gently massaged it.

“But it really hurts.”

An Ziqi was in so much pain that her face was all puckered up.

Seeing her in agony and looking so pitiful, Xiao Moli’s tone became gentler.

“Just bear with it for a while. It will get better very soon.”

Shortly after, An Ziqi felt only a cooling sensation on her ankle and no pain.

Turning her attention to Xiao Moli again, she noted that he looked full of intent while his stiff lips appeared to have softened. Looking at him from where she was, did he appear somewhat…a little gentler?

An Ziqi shook her head. How was it possible that Xiao Moli would be gentle toward her?

“No more events for the next two days. You should not put weight on this foot. Understand?” Xiao Moli instructed as he wrapped gauze around her ankle.

“Got it. No need to sound so fierce.”

An Ziqi pouted. True enough, any notion of him being gentle was pure imagination on her part.

Then again, instead of settling his disagreements with her, this guy had personally massaged her ankle. For that, she still felt a tad touched.

However, reality quickly kicked in and proved that she had read too much into it.

“Okay. Now that your issue has been settled, let’s talk about our issues,” Xiao Moli announced emotionlessly.

“Our…what about our issues?” An Ziqi stammered.

“What do you think?”

Squinting at her, Xiao Moli’s eyes radiated danger.

“I…I was wrong,” An Ziqi said meekly.

Xiao Moli stared intently at her, noting the residual tears gleaming in her apricot-shaped eyes and her cute, flushed nose.

Crouched like a small animal and looking vulnerable, the sight of her made him want to do things to her.

Lowering his head, he inched closer and closer to her until…

An Ziqi immediately froze and her mind went blank.

Suddenly, the door was opened from outside.

“Whoa!”

Xiao Yining had just walked into the apartment and, witnessing the scene in the living room, had let out a victorious whoop.

He quickly covered his eyes with his chubby hands and stole glances at the pair on the sofa through the gaps between his fingers.

Shocked back to her senses, An Ziqi pushed Xiao Moli away in embarrassment, her face blushing.

“Daddy, your woman…”

Always the troublemaker, Xiao Yining had shouted at the top of his voice.

Without waiting for him to finish shouting, the embarrassed An Ziqi interrupted him, “You shut up.”

This little rascal was really looking for a thrashing.

She shot Xiao Moli, the culprit, a fierce glare.

But he looked the picture of calm, no flushed face, no heavy breathing.

Glancing at Xiao Yining, he said mildly, “You knew. Then why did you watch?”

Xiao Yining stuck out his tongue.

Realizing that his daddy had not denied it when he called An Ziqi his woman, Xiao Yining’s lips curled into a smile.

While all An Ziqi wanted to do was to find a hole and disappear into it…

If there was truth in hereditary traits, then this father and son pair were equally perverted.

Tidying her disarrayed clothes, she tried to get onto her feet and back to her room.

“You’re not allowed to stand up.”

Frowning, Xiao Moli carried her into the bathroom and walked out.
