Chapter 797: Chapter 631 The Truth
“Boom!”
At the summit of Qinglu Mountain, a figure was sent flying by a powerful force. He steadied himself in mid-air, but upon landing, he still crashed into the ground, leaving a deep crater.
“And you dare to call yourselves Sword Masters?”
A mocking voice rang out. Ran’ei Divine Master stood in the void, looking down at Saito Tsuyoshi, who had been knocked to the ground.
“If not for us…”
“Shut up!” A sharp reprimand interrupted. Miyanori Chiyoko walked forward with a sullen expression.
The width of her weapon exceeded her own body. She glanced at her companion and realized she’d misspoken. Saito Tsuyoshi gripped his weapon tightly and lowered his head in silence.
“So there’s more to the story, isn’t there?”
Ran’ei Divine Master scanned Red Sparrow briefly. The girl shook her head, clearly unaware of what Saito Tsuyoshi meant by his words.
“You’ve won. We are no match for you.”
Miyanori Chiyoko looked disheveled, but she had to admit that the three before them were far stronger than her group. Even with the Cursed Item in hand, the three of them were no match for Ran’ei Divine Master.
After all, their own power hadn’t reached the level of Sword Masters. They had only forcefully elevated themselves by relying on the Cursed Item. Moreover, Miyanori Chiyoko and her companions excelled in defense.
Even if they could hold on, their weak offensive power made it impossible to pose a threat to enemies of the same level.
In usual circumstances, this weakness wasn’t starkly evident, but with Sword Master Funiu absent at this moment, their shortcoming was fully exposed and completely suppressed by Ran’ei Divine Master.
“I told you, Roger isn’t here.”
“He’s lying!” Red Sparrow retorted.
“I’ve been paying attention–Roger didn’t leave Qinglu Mountain. He’s definitely here!”
Miyanori Chiyoko cast a glance at Red Sparrow. Her gaze bore no hatred or disappointment; it was a calm look, as though she were staring at a stranger.
“Regretting it, aren’t you?” Red Sparrow sneered.
“Regretting that you let me live.”
“Haha.”
“It’s all your fault. You destroyed my happiness–this is exactly what you deserve!”
Red Sparrow laughed hysterically, her face twisted in madness.
She scanned the surroundings and saw the ordinary disciples of Sword Pavilion gathered nearby. The once-reverent and admiring looks in their eyes were now filled with terror.
“What are you thinking?”
“Do you think I’ve lost my mind?”
“I’m not insane–they are the ones who are mad!”
“Think about this distorted system.” Red Sparrow suddenly pointed to a figure standing at the back of the crowd.
“When did you come to the mountain?”
“How many people have you accompanied here?”
At her words, the girl standing at the back grew pale as a sheet. At night, they were sent to different places, yet during the day, they served as servants, running the Sword Pavilion’s daily operations.
“Have you slept with her?”
“What about you? And you?”
“And how about you?”
Red Sparrow pointed arbitrarily, each pointed Sword Pavilion disciple shrinking back, their expressions betraying varying degrees of discomfort.
“Have there been so many that you can’t even remember?”
She looked mockingly at the girl standing at the back of the crowd. “If you’re pregnant, I bet you wouldn’t even know whose child it is, would you?”
The girl didn’t respond, her face ghostly pale and her hands gripping her clothing tightly.
“Let me tell you the greatest secret of Funiu Sword Pavilion!”
Red Sparrow raised her voice.
“Shut up!” Miyanori Chiyoko roared coldly.
“I understand your reasoning, but enough is enough. Don’t force me to kill you!”
The powerful pressure enveloped Red Sparrow, but she seemed entirely unfazed by Miyanori Chiyoko’s threats.
“If you want to kill me, go right ahead!”
“I’ve said it before–I don’t care about living anymore. But before I die, I swear to expose your true faces and prevent the sins from repeating here!”
“Listen up: the women brought to the mountain are nothing more than tools for childbirth. And all of you–elites chosen to inherit the Guardian Spirit of the Sword Pavilion–each and every one of you share the same…”
“Shut up!!”
The terrifying shockwave drowned out Red Sparrow’s voice. In the next moment, Miyanori Chiyoko, wielding formidable power, appeared beside Red Sparrow, her enormous weapon swinging like a door panel.
If this strike landed, Red Sparrow would be reduced to pulp in an instant.
“Let her finish what she’s saying.”
The voice belonged to a man wearing a distinctive Tengu Mask. His massive frame was draped in a white beast hide, and his roar was like that of a furious, giant wolf.
White Wolf Tengu.
Boom!
Miyanori Chiyoko’s attack landed on the ground, but the figure of Red Sparrow vanished from sight. A whirlwind of blue energy spun as Red Sparrow was lifted into the air.
From start to finish, she made no move to defend herself, seemingly resigned to death.
“All of us share the same bloodline!”
“We could be father and daughter, brother and sister, mother and son!”
“Haha, surprising, isn’t it?”
“Haven’t any of you ever wondered the same?”
“Why is it forbidden on Qinglu Mountain for Sword Pavilion disciples to form any romantic attachments?”
“Now you should understand, shouldn’t you?”
Hearing her words, the disciples exchanged uneasy glances. Some turned pale, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
“Don’t listen to her nonsense–Red Sparrow has gone insane!”
“Everyone, heed my command: immediately leave the summit and return to your rooms. No one is allowed to step out without permission!”
Miyanori Chiyoko issued her orders sternly as she pursued Red Sparrow.
Her words calmed the chaos slightly, but the seeds of doubt had already been planted. The truth would inevitably come to light–it was only a matter of time.
