Chapter 802: Chapter 632: Sweeping Across_2
The White Wolf Tengu was known for its robust build and formidable destructive power, while the Crow Tengu excelled in swordsmanship. As for the energy of the Yamabushi Tengu, it was rather peculiar–Roger couldn’t discern its nature right away.
“Facing three opponents at once is indeed a disadvantage,” he thought aloud.
“But…”
Roger chuckled softly, and a snow-white figure appeared by his left side–it was Uma.
At this moment, Uma was in her human form. Free from the confinement of that eerie place and the suppression of the Giant Dragon, the power of the body she was controlling surged explosively.
Compared to before, she was so much stronger. According to Roger’s estimation, this body had not even reached its pinnacle.
Her strength would continue to grow for a long time yet.
Before Ran’ei Divine Master could say anything, a dense smell of blood filled the space. A pale figure appeared with bat wings slicing through the air like blades, striking toward Ran’ei Divine Master!
Simultaneously, white mist enveloped the surroundings as Uma launched her attack.
Roger didn’t rush forward; he hovered calmly in midair. A moment later, the sound of flesh colliding echoed through–all from the Elder of Shadows’ attack landing on Ran’ei Divine Master.
“When did this happen?!”
The Elder of Shadows bore an expression of indifference, much like a corpse. Occasionally, red lines flickered across his skin, adding faint traces of Dragon Might to his strikes.
Though the others instinctively felt a sense of suppression, they discovered nothing unusual. However, Sword Master Funiu, who had experienced the Silver Dragon’s pressure up close, looked at the Elder of Shadows with a hint of curiosity.
Still, it was mere puzzlement; he didn’t delve too deeply into it.
Both the White Fox and Elder of Shadows had nearly reached the limits of Everworld themselves. Discounting the Extreme Path Sword Master, they represented the peak of combat power.
Uma’s abilities were ever-changing, wielding the White Fox’s various skills effortlessly. The Elder of Shadows, on the other hand, acted entirely on instinct, disregarding compromises, death, and pain.
Their synergy multiplied their destructive capabilities significantly.
“Something’s wrong. These creatures’ powers are far too strange!”
“We must leave immediately.”
Slowly, an unfamiliar voice echoed within Ran’ei Divine Master’s mind. The other two Tengu had already begun to contemplate retreat.
But gazing at Roger, standing in the void, Ran’ei Divine Master found himself utterly unable to convince himself to leave.
“These two entities suddenly appearing here is suspicious. Trust me, they won’t last long and will disappear soon enough.”
“As long as you unleash more power, we can surely defeat him!”
Ran’ei Divine Master temporarily quelled the unease of his two fellow Divine Masters. Yet as time stretched on, their doubts grew, becoming more pronounced.
“Leave! We have to leave now!”
“The fusion’s powers have reached their limits. If this continues, the process will become irreversible!”
Anxiety began to take hold.
Deep down, all six Divine Masters understood that only through their fusion could the Tengu Divine Master achieve completeness.
Nevertheless, each harbored different intentions privately. After the fusion, who would take the lead was a problem impossible to ignore.
Further fusion would undoubtedly allow their strength to enhance that of Ran’ei Divine Master. Yet it came with the risk of losing their selfhood entirely and becoming subsumed within Ran’ei Divine Master.
At that point… too many unforeseen events could happen.
“If you want to fight, do it yourself!”
“We’re leaving!” came the voice of the White Wolf Tengu. But in the next moment, they were shocked to discover the separation mechanism failed–their powers still surged unceasingly into Ran’ei Divine Master’s body.
“Get out!”
The air seemed to tear apart. Uma’s illusion shattered, and her body shifted from ethereal to substantial, evading the brunt of the explosion.
The Elder of Shadows wasn’t as fortunate. Amid spatial distortion, a hairline fracture appeared; unable to dodge, he suffered a gruesome wound.
Ran’ei Divine Master didn’t even spare the Elder of Shadows a glance. His form remained unmoving as his hands twisted, fusing his distorted Guardian Spirit with rough force behind him.
“I said, the one who dies will be you!”
Roger realized this was Ran’ei Divine Master’s desperate gamble. But before he could react, the environment shifted unnaturally, and he found himself bizarrely moved ten meters forward, directly under Ran’ei Divine Master’s attack!
“What kind of ability is this?”
Roger’s feet moved at lightning speed, yet it seemed meaningless. No matter the direction he tried to escape, his body remained firmly rooted in place.
Ran’ei Divine Master wore a twisted expression as he gazed down at Roger from above.
“To die under the Great Tengu’s spatial lock–a fate to be proud of!”
Roger raised the Sword of Destiny and activated the Alder Sword Seal, but he quickly noticed an anomaly–the sword seal’s power was disrupted and filled with uncontrollable energy.
Ran’ei Divine Master lowered his hands slowly. He had tapped into forces beyond his command, and his body was already nearing its limit.
His attack might have been slow, but under spatial confinement, speed no longer mattered. Roger suspected even a block wouldn’t suffice.
As Ran’ei Divine Master’s strike landed, deep within Roger’s mind, the Alder Sword Seal emitted a faint glow, calmly yet resolutely shattering the spatial confinement.
Roger grasped this insight, retreated violently, and crashed to the ground.
The stone slabs cracked as Ran’ei Divine Master closed the gap, following Roger down. With a deafening roar, his attack unleashed like a tidal wave!
Cracks and pops sounded!
The layered Alder Sword Seal absorbed most of the attack. Yet, some pierced through its defenses and struck Roger directly.
“Goodbye, young man; this is my era. Yours has yet to come!”
Without Spiritual Power shielding him, a cultivator’s physical body was brittle and weak.
But soon enough, Ran’ei Divine Master’s triumphant grin froze.
He heard the roar of the Earth and sensed a terrifying power flowing from deep within Roger!
[Quinn Sword Seal–Link with the Earth]
The surrounding ground sank downward. No matter how overwhelming Ran’ei Divine Master’s energy grew, the young man before him absorbed it all.
And under this immense pressure, Roger’s aura only became more robust.
“This is just two seals. If all five burst forth simultaneously…”
Roger spoke words Ran’ei Divine Master couldn’t comprehend, yet his thoughts quickly shifted away from pondering.
[Blessing of the Great Bear]
Bloodline Power surged as Roger’s figure grew taller. Beneath him, Qinglu Mountain seemed to come alive, providing him with endless energy.
At the same time, the Spiritual Power within him raged with unprecedented vitality. Grasping newfound insight, he stepped forward and thrust the Sword of Destiny!
“Escape!”
“Run immediately!”
This was the only thought in Ran’ei Divine Master’s mind. Yet he knew, no matter how fast, he couldn’t outpace the sword in Roger’s hand.
The surrounding space rippled like water. Unable to dodge, he prepared to teleport Roger away.
But in that instant, Ran’ei Divine Master realized the space around him had hardened like steel. He had lost this peculiar control.
“Go!”
Two voices shouted simultaneously in his mind. In a flash, the other two Divine Masters regained control of their bodies, withdrawing their energy and fleeing the battlefield at insane speeds.
“No!”
“Come back–we still… Ugh!”
Mid-sentence, something sharp pierced his chest, followed by the feeling of two forces abandoning his body.
Roger’s young face appeared before him.
Ignoring the mortally wounded Ran’ei Divine Master, Roger stepped into midair. Gripping his sword with both hands, he drew a semicircle before raising the Sword of Destiny high and stabbing forward.
There was no oppressive energy, not even a gust of wind–the attack seemed aimed at empty air.
But at the moment Roger struck, in the distance, two fleeing figures erupted in a mist of blood.
The two figures hesitated briefly before recovering and vanishing beyond the horizon.
Roger sighed in regret. In one-on-one combat, he was confident he could kill either of them.
Retrieving the Sword of Destiny, Roger turned his gaze toward Ran’ei Divine Master.
The latter’s face was ashen and lifeless.
“Do you remember what I said the first time we met?”
