Chapter 1331: Chapter 1328: This is the Last Time They, Father and Son, Meet (Add More 2)

Emily Taylor, feigning dizziness, left but actually returned to her room and hesitantly dialed Dominic Taylor’s number.

She could no longer hold out.

She had kept this secret alone for so many years, and after Madam Lucas passed away, she was the only one holding on. She was truly tired.

Emily Taylor, holding the phone and pouring out her troubles to Dominic, hadn’t noticed at all.

Right in the cloakroom connected to her bedroom, little Charles Taylor was sitting in front of a toy box, rummaging for toys.

After Emily left, Ben Lucas and Abbie temporarily reached an agreement with Aidan Lucas.

To guard against Mason Scott’s retaliation and for their mother’s safety, they could temporarily refrain from seeing their mother.

However, Aidan Lucas had to ensure that every night he would allow their mother to call them.

Aidan Lucas, driven by his possessiveness, was reluctant to share Lily with the three little ones.

But thinking of what he had just said, both to soothe Ben and Abbie and to set a good example, he had no choice but to agree.

Once everything was settled, Aidan Lucas had other matters to attend to and was preparing to leave.

But just before he stepped out, Ben silently stopped him.

“Dad, when we’re not by mother’s side, you must take good care of her.”

Little Ben Lucas stood by Aidan Lucas’s feet, not even reaching his sleeve, only managing to tug at the hem of his pants.

He looked up, his clear black pupils calm and sincere.

The man looked down at him, his eyes slightly narrowed, “Okay, I will.”

As long as Lily behaved and took good care of her pregnancy, he would treat her very well.

He no longer hoped for her affection; he reduced his expectations to the minimum–just to have the child would be enough.

“Okay, then take care,” Ben let go, waving to him.

Aidan Lucas nodded slightly and stepped away.

Watching the man’s retreating figure, Ben suddenly shouted out for some reason.

“Don’t worry, I won’t stay at the school dormitory for a while, I’ll come home every day to take care of Abbie and Lulu.”

He was the big brother, he needed to be sensible, to spare their mother some worry.

Aidan Lucas’s steps came to an abrupt halt.

He turned to look at Ben, a large and a small figure, two pairs of similarly deep, narrow black pupils locking eyes in the air.

After who knew how long, Aidan Lucas suddenly curved his lips into a smile.

“Fool, I’ll arrange everything. You’re just a kid, you shouldn’t worry. The coursework at Royal School is intense; you should focus on your classes.”

If he thought about it, ever since he took over, the one who had been with him through thick and thin was this child, Ben.

Madam Lucas, who did not despise him, left early.

His best friend, Dylan Wellington, who at the time was only interested in flirting and flaunting his love, made him want to avoid involvement.

And only, just like him, also left behind by others.

Lonely Ben, accompanying him all this time.

After speaking, he waved to Ben without looking back and left the Manor.

For some reason, watching Aidan Lucas’s gradually diminishing figure, Ben felt a strange sensation emerging from within.

It was as if this was the last time father and son would see each other.
