If the Russians initially intended to attack one meteorite, all they had to do now was change their mission into attacking four.

The other scientist from the operation squad said, “Twenty nuclear bombs was enough to blow a meteorite into bits. However, we’re facing four different meteorites with different orbit routes! The Russian spacecraft can’t aim precisely at four meteorites at the same time.”

“They can either go for the initial meteorite or go for the three torn meteorites, they have to pick one of these options! The initial meteorite could be easily destroyed, but they might miss the remaining three.”

The scientists lost hope.

The Russians couldn’t stop all four meteorites at the same time since they were going in different directions.

After a minute of uncomfortable silence, the President of the United States asked the scientist, “Can you identify which meteorite is going towards North America? If it’s possible, we have to prioritize destroying it with nuclear bombs! We have to ensure the safety of North American citizens! If we can’t stop the meteorite heading towards the Pacific Ocean, then we should give it up! May God bless those innocent souls!”

His words were cold and cruel, the Americans were shameless. They would sacrifice the other countries to ensure the safety of their own.

The scientist answered despite the moral ambiguity, “The meteorite heading towards North America is the meteorite that the Russian spacecraft was originally ordered to attack. According to the calculations, the three torn meteorites were heading towards Australia and Hawaii.”

He was arrogant, the other presidents thought his actions were unacceptable.

The Australian president was in the meeting too, he wanted to punch this shameless American *sshole, politely ‘ask’ how his family were doing, and then f*ck his wife and daughter.

Before he could say anything, the head of the scientists spoke up, “That would be such a waste! It is illogical for us to use twenty nuclear bombs against one meteorite. If a choice had to be made, we should choose to attack the three meteorites heading towards the Pacific Ocean!”

“That meteorite will destroy my city! Think about all the casualties on American citizens! We should choose to attack the one meteorite. Ignore the three meteorites, not a lot of people would be dead anyway!” His shamelessness was showing.

The Russian president was extremely upset hearing those words, “I will order my astronauts to destroy the three meteorites heading towards the Pacific Ocean. As for the meteorite heading towards North America… let’s just say the nuclear bombs belong to the former Soviet Union.”

The USA president choked on that, he pointed angrily at the Russian president and cursed, “That is murder! Millions of innocent American citizens will die by your hands! They will die because of you! You murderer!”

The President of Russia remained calm and indifferent.

It was the end of the world. Pretty soon, most Americans would be dead. What could he do? Call him cruel? He would be dead by then.

The USA president was dropping ‘f-bombs’ left and right. He simply ignored him. The head of the scientists supported his decision, “Truthfully, going for the three meteorites is our only choice. The damage will be worse than one meteorite. If the three meteorites crashed into the Pacific Ocean at the same time, it would be the apocalypse.”

The statement from the scientist changed the minds of the rest of the leaders, they suddenly all supported the Russian president.

The American citizens were innocent, the head of the scientist did not want to see the end of America so he added, “We don’t need twenty nuclear bombs to destroy that one meteorite. Let it get closer to Earth, the USA could launch a nuclear bomb and blow it into bits.”

He knew it was a risky decision. Usually, a bomb launched from the surface did not have navigation, it could easily miss the meteorite.

The Russian spacecraft was carefully designed to have bomb navigation, they could hit their target with precise aim.

Not all the presidents agreed to that advice, but the scientist said something that all of them agreed upon, “The United States is the best military nation, right? You have a lot of nuclear bombs. The United States national missile defense can stop missiles, a meteorite shouldn’t be a problem with your capabilities, right?”
