Bai Yiyi looked at the man incredulously, as he sat there unabashedly with his leg crossed in a usurped spot, radiating an utterly punchable aura. She really wanted to kick him out.

“Bai Yiyi, I am your major client after all. Is this how you treat your clients?”

Seeing her standing there, glaring at him with no intention of offering him a glass of water, Gu Kai’s lips curved into a mocking smile.

Bai Yiyi pursed her lips, turned around, and poured him a cup of hot water, “Here!”

“Such hot water, Bai Yiyi, your tactics for seducing men are really quite various, aren’t they?” Gu Kai scoffed as he looked at the water on the table.

“Gu Kai, don’t go too far.”

Bai Yiyi looked at Gu Kai irritably, this crazy man.

How did pouring him a cup of water become related to seducing men?

“Isn’t that so?” Gu Kai narrowed his eyes, full of disdain as he watched her.

“With which eye did you see me seducing men?” Just because she had responded to his question last time about Tongtong’s background, must he remember her as flirtatious for a lifetime?

Bai Yiyi glared at him with hatred. She was not someone who could be bullied indiscriminately.

Gu Kai snorted through his nose, stretched out his hand accustomed to holding surgical scalpels, his fingers long and pale, and pointed at the water on the table, analysing in a leisurely manner, “In this season, you didn’t pour me cold water or lukewarm water, but a cup of boiling hot water. Do you know how long it will take for this water to cool down?”

Bai Yiyi pursed her lips, remaining silent.

“When you’re seducing men, is it always with this trick, using the time it takes for the hot water to cool down to lure the man into bed?”

“Gu Kai, you’re pushing people too far.”

Bai Yiyi was so angry she gritted her teeth. Her eyes swept over the cup on the table, and Gu Kai let out a cold snort. He picked up the cup, moved it further away from Bai Yiyi before setting it back down.

“Pushing people too far is quite the joke. Hooking up with many men is something you admitted yourself. On top of that, I’ve even seen you bringing men home.” He suddenly stood up from the chair and walked over to Bai Yiyi. His tall frame loomed over her, casting a shadow upon her.

His narrow eyes glanced at her foot, “Who knows, maybe you sprained your foot while seducing men.”

Bai Yiyi stiffened for a moment due to the oppressive feeling of his sudden approach. As she regained her senses, she instinctively stepped back, biting her teeth, “Whatever the reason for my sprained foot, it’s none of your business.”

“Unless you disappear from my sight, then it really is none of my business.”

A second ago, Gu Kai’s handsome face still held a mocking expression, but in the next moment, it darkened like the sky before a storm. For some reason, upon hearing Bai Yiyi’s reply, an uncontrollable rage surged within him.

His voice tinged with anger, his tall frame took another step forward, cornering Bai Yiyi against the wall.

Bai Yiyi looked warily at the man towering over her by a good half a head. He was so close that her breathing was intermingled with his scent, tinged with a hint of mint, making her heartbeat chaotic for a fleeting moment.

Her delicately made-up fair face also blushed slightly from his proximity.

Gu Kai’s thin lips were pressed tightly as he stared intently at Bai Yiyi, her body pressed against the wall behind her, face slightly lifted, watching him with caution.

Perhaps accustomed to her glaring back at him, Gu Kai was taken aback by her wariness.

“Today, I came to see you. That night, however, you were the one who took the initiative,” Gu Kai’s gaze swept over her slightly rising chest, and, unbidden, the passionate scenes from that night began to replay in his mind.

The woman’s delicate scent invaded his nostrils; his Adam’s apple slid sensually.

“That night was an accident, you didn’t lose out on anything, why can’t we just forget about it?”

Bai Yiyi furrowed her brows. This was an office, and she dared not even speak too loudly. She also didn’t understand why Gu Kai would bring up that night’s events.

He really dislikes her, doesn’t he?

“Who says I’m not at a loss? I’m not like you, having slept with many people. That night was my first time,” Gu Kai squinted his eyes, the faint scent of the woman lingering around his nostrils smelled good.

“So what do you want?”

Yiyi pressed down the anger in her heart and asked bluntly.

She didn’t know what had gotten into him today.

“I want you to stay away from that man named Li En in the future. Don’t bring him back to your house again.”

“Elder Brother Li is my friend,” Yiyi defended instinctively.

“Friend? A friend you sleep with?”

When Gu Kai thought of the night Li En was driving out of her housing complex, rage flared up inside him once more, his tone thick with mockery.

“Gu Kai, I am just friends with Elder Brother Li, don’t talk nonsense,” Yiyi said, boiling with anger.

If this weren’t an office, she would have made this man pay for his actions.

“Leaving your house late at night and still just friends? Who knows what you two did?”

“I don’t understand what you mean. When did Elder Brother Li leave my house late at night?” Yiyi frowned, clearly perplexed.

“Yiyi, it seems that unless I state the time, you won’t admit it. Fine, let me convince you. That evening after your foot was injured, a little after nine, Li En left your house. Are you daring to say that didn’t happen?”

Yiyi widened her eyes in shock.

Her first reaction was, how could he know?

He had dropped her off in the evening.

Hadn’t he left then? How could he have seen Li En leaving her place later that night?

“How did you know?”

Gu Kai sneered, his gaze suddenly filled with contempt, and as if he feared being sullied, he stepped back twice, “Now you’re willing to admit you’re having an affair with Li En?”

Yiyi didn’t know how Gu Kai found out, but she still explained, “That day, my mom called Elder Brother Li, and after his work, he came to see me. Gu Kai, I don’t know how you could have seen Elder Brother Li leaving my house. But don’t tarnish Elder Brother Li’s reputation, he and I are just friends.”

“Anyone with eyes can see his feelings for you,” Gu Kai scoffed at her explanation.

After saying that, Yiyi walked behind her desk. Gu Kai, dissatisfied with her demeanor, was still considering what else to say when his phone vibrated in his pocket.

He took out his phone, his handsome face slightly changing upon seeing the caller.

It seemed only now did he realize what he had just done. Frowning, he looked at Yiyi, who sat down and focused on her work, not even giving him another glance, turned around, and walked briskly towards the door.

Opening the door and calming himself down internally, Gu Kai then pressed the answer button, giving a faint “hello.”
