With the history of Shang Jing asking for the studio’s cash flow report, his current actions did resemble that of an industrial spy. But He Jiang knew, deep in his heart, that Shang Jing was at most a pretty industrial attraction, one that was owned by him.

Soon, the cupboard doors were slowly pushed open. Inside, Shang Jing was sitting down with his eyes averted from him.

He Jiang looked at Shang Jing who was entangled in his pajamas. Where the pajamas did not cover, his snow white skin stood out, especially his feet and his curled up toes. On his face was an innocent yet guilty expression.

His throat tightened up. “Why are you hiding?”

Guiltily, Shang Jing said, “I’m just here to see whether you’ve folded your blanket.”

He Jiang: “Did I fold them?”

Shang Jing: “You did.”

He Jiang pulled the two loaves of bread out from his arms and chuckled, “Why did you bring food with you? Are you planning to set up a nest in my room?”

He Jiang thought about that scenario and it was not bad at all.

Shang Jing did not have an explanation for that. With a stutter, he said, “I took it because I wanted to eat them.”

He Jiang was running out of time. Pinching Shang Jing’s chin, he lifted his face up to face him and said, “Cut to the chase. What are you looking for? If I can give it to you, I’ll give it to you.”

Shang Jing did not expect him to be so cooperative. Nodding his head in the direction of the safe, he replied, “I want what’s in there.”

“Be specific.”

He Jiang sighed.

He could let him have the house’s land title but their wedding certification would be impossible.

He could not conjure it out of nothing.

Shang Jing clenched his teeth. If the USB was really in the safe, he would not be able to get it out even if he dedicated his entire life to it. Why not take a gamble on the douchebag’s conscience?

Plus, He Jiang’s behavior seemed to be more humane recently.

“The video…”

He Jiang did not get his reference. “What?”

Shang Jing explained, “That HD home video starring the both of us. I believe there are risks to hiding it, we will be better off destroying it.”

“HD…” He Jiang was stunned speechless.

Thinking he was unwilling to surrender the video, Shang Jing continued to coax, “There is no value in keeping it. We can still film more in the future if we want to…”

… At least take it out and make sure it has yet to be stolen, right?

Then he could steal it away at the same time.

But before he could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by He Jiang. “Shang Jing, do you know what you’re saying?”

He Jiang placed a hand on his hip and turned away to take a breather. With this statement from Shang Jing, he already had half a mind to stay at home today.

Closing his eyes, he decided to eliminate all opportunities for him to tease the rascal. “There’s no such video. I was just joking so stop looking for it.”

Shang Jing climbed out from the closet. Sure he was just unwilling to hand the video to him, he shouted in panic, “Stop finding excuses. I remember everything! We did film such videos!”

He Jiang spun on his heel to face him. “What do you remember?”

The cold expression on He Jiang’s face shocked Shang Jing. “I just remember we have filmed such videos before. Don’t try to trick me.”

He Jiang’s eyes darkened as he roared, “Who did you film it with?!”

Shang Jing dated someone other than me three years ago?!

Shang Jing took a step back. He was too embarrassed to voice out the answer but He Jiang’s expression made him feel like if he did not spill the beans, he would be eaten by him.

And he self-destructed. “Of course it’s with you! Who else could it be? It was taken in the study room! Do you think everyone is shrouded in dating rumors like you?! And trying to gaslight me?! Fat hope!”

After throwing out the insult, Shang Jing felt a wave of satisfaction wash over him.

For the sake of getting more assets during their divorce settlement, he would never settle for being the party who wronged the other.

“Bullshit…” He Jiang stopped mid-sentence as a realization hit him. He stared at Shang Jing intently with his deep dark eyes. “When did you regain your memories?”

Shang Jing: “Last night.”

He Jiang teased, “… In your dream?”

Shang Jing growled, “How is that a dream? It’s called a memory!”

He Jiang: “…”

So, Shang Jing dreamt about having sex with me?
