Everyone followed a vampire to a protruding section of the cliff wall.

Looking up, there were rough and jagged markings branded into the rocky surface.

Researchers brought by Liu Haiyang immediately began taking photos from multiple angles, archiving the data, and comparing images to translate the ancient script.

Fang Heng stood quietly, observing.

The cliff wall was overgrown with weeds, and large, crisscrossing marks looked odd indeed.

But were those really characters?

They spent a long time verifying and recording, and then the research team set up a temporary base at the foot of the cliff. After two full days of discussion and analysis, they were finally ready to act by the third afternoon.

Before everyone’s eyes, Liu Haiyang walked up to the cliff wall, cut his palm with a knife, and pressed his hand against the rock face.

The cave inside was massive.

Every wall was carved with murals.

Li Zixuan, part of the team, observed the murals and murmured softly.

“Dr. Li, did you find something?”

“The fact that our blood can open the cliff passage proves we truly are descendants of the Titans…” Dr. Li looked up at the murals and said, “These murals must have been left by the Titans. From our data, the ancient Titans were roughly three times our size.”

“The Titans faced an existential threat. To prevent total extinction, they spread their bloodlines before the crisis arrived, hoping their descendants could one day restore their lost glory.”

Zaka, listening nearby, found it hard to believe. He sneered and muttered, “What is this? I just came here for a mission, and now you’re telling me to recognize my ancestors?”

Li Zixuan glanced at Zaka and shook her head, saying, “Whether you believe it or not, Titan blood flows in your veins–though perhaps very diluted.”

Fang Heng didn’t care about the ancestry part and asked, “Is there any information related to inheritance?”

“I think it’s a power derived from the Titan bloodline… due to dilution, the Titan bloodline gradually lost its strength…”

Li Zixuan kept studying the murals. “Ancient Humans carried partial memories and inheritance from the Titans. They left behind methods to awaken traces of the bloodline…”

Titan inheritance?

Could that really exist?

It sounded like something that could enhance one’s power.

A researcher in a deeper part of the cave discovered something and called everyone over.

Fang Heng followed the group and saw a towering stone pillar standing at the cave’s base.

Liu Haiyang stepped forward, reached for one of the protruding barbs, and grasped it tightly.

Liu Haiyang furrowed his brow slightly.

Tiny needles sprang from the barb, piercing his skin.

Bright red blood flowed along the barb and slowly trickled down the stone pillar.

Only then did they notice that beneath the pillar was a hollow section, and a stone cup was placed at its base.

The blood trickled down into the cup, drop by drop.

Immediately, the entire pillar glowed with a gentle light.
