Shen Li’s words gave Zhong Ning a lot to mull over. After a while, she finally agreed.

“Oh, okay. I’ll ask Gu Sheng and ask him to make arrangements.”

Shen Li raised her eyebrows when she heard Gu Sheng’s name. Zhong Ning seemed to put a lot of trust in him. He was almost always the first person that came to Zhong Ning’s mind.

After Zhong Ning left, Shen Li gathered her thoughts. She had to make this airtight. She would have to seek out some manpower when it came to claiming the shop.

The only people Gu Sheng could find were the servants in the backyard. It would most definitely not be enough, so she would have to find her own methods.

After leaving Shen Li’s place, Zhong Ning could barely focus.

She walked back to her own courtyard in a daze. She was so caught up on what Shen Li had just said that did not notice the person who had walked over from the corner.

A few seconds later, there was a cry.

“Ah!”

Zhong Ning crashed into a muscular and attractive chest, and she let out a scream.

Gu Sheng held Zhong Ning’s waist with one hand and only let go after he had stabilized her. He looked down at Zhong Ning and said calmly, “Be careful.”
