Freya almost stopped sipping the straw the moment she saw Gideon. She was completely frozen as she stared at the man.

Ashley kept looking at her and hinting for her to turn around to avoid detection.

Freya kept staring at Gideon’s long legs as they strode towards her. She promptly veered her eyes away and ignored the man sitting across from her. She simply sat with her eyes lowered and did not dare to make a sound.
Gideon slowly approached her.

Freya kept holding her breath.

The man suddenly halted in front of her.

Freya clenched her fists so tightly that her nails nearly dug into her skin as she kept staring at the ground with her head lowered.

Kieran could not help laughing as he shook his head on seeing this. He looked at Gideon and said, “Long time no see, Gideon.”

The moment Kieran greeted Gideon, Freya was caught by surprise.

Did they know each other?

Gideon said, “When did you come back?”

“Not long ago. We should catch up soon.”

Gideon nodded. Then, he turned to look at Freya.

“And this is?” Gideon smiled nonchalantly.

“Since I am not getting any younger, I was thinking of getting married. I am in a matchmaking session,” Kieran said.

Freya closed her eyes. She raised her hand and scratched her head the moment she heard their conversation.

She kept her head lowered the entire time until Gideon asked Kieran, “Aren’t you going to introduce us?”

The woman raised her head. The moment she made eye contact with Gideon for a second, she looked away and tured to look at Kieran. “Mr. Anderson, I have to get back to the office. We’ll talk again.”
She glared at Ashley before running out of the restaurant.

Ashley frowned. She leaned her head against her hand with her head lowered and busied herself with drinking, It felt as though she was trying to hide.
Kieran veered his eyes away from Freya’s departing figure and turned to glance at the woman sitting at the other table.

He finally replied to Gideon, “That was Mr. Taylor’s granddaughter, Ashley Taylor.”

“No, that wasn’t her.”

“Ohhhh?” Kieran acknowledged him ambiguously as he dragged his last syllable.

Gideon turned his face sideways and raised his chin at Ashley. “The one sitting over there is the right one. The other woman was her friend. From the looks of it, you just went for a bogus matchmaking sessio

Kieran narrowed his eyes with a smile on his face.

Kieran raised his head and looked at the real Ashley Taylor. He walked over and stood in front of her and laughed without restraint. Then, he said in a sexy voice, “Ms. Taylor, is there something wrong with me? Did you have to send someone else to the matchmaking session? Are you afraid of me?”
Ashley gradually stood up. A perfect smile emerged on her face, making her look beautiful and confident.

“Mr, Anderson, women tend to be shyer than men. I hope you don’t mind.”

Kieran scrutinized her intriguingly before he gradually said, “Ms. Taylor, does this mean you don’t mind getting to know me better?”

Ashley smiled. “Well, how shall I put it? Let’s just say I have a good first impression of you.”

Kieran said humorously, “Did I do well for my test?”

Ashley instantly blushed slightly. She lowered her eyes and said, “That was not what I meant.”

After Freya left the restaurant, she quickly hurried over to the office.
She walked quickly, looked nervous, and even her forehead was sweating.
However, she was unable to evade the man who had suddenly appeared in front of her.
