Chapter 29: Moving Out Together

There and then, she made a decision.
Reaching for her cell phone, she sent a message to Feng Xian…
[I’ll arrange for the two of you to meet this Saturday.]
After she had sent the message, she stared at the ceiling and started tapping on the cover of her comic book.
After a while, there was still no response.
She removed her noise cancellation device. Immediately, all sorts of sounds filled her ears. After teasing them apart, she focused on a certain room.
Hmm… it was the sound of running water.
So it turned out the guy was taking a shower. No wonder he hadn’t replied. Just as the thought ran through her mind, her cell phone vibrated.

The sound of running water was still reverberating in the background.

[Miao: I’d like to move over to your apartment.]
The phone was silent for at least 15 seconds after this message was sent.
Then, it vibrated…
[Xian: Reason.]
Tang Qianmiao frowned, and then she made a call.
The phone rang a couple of times before it was picked up. She could hear the sound of water in the background.
“Yes, or no?”
Then the man cleared his throat lightly.
“I’m the only person in this apartment.”
“Uh huh.”
“I’m a man.”
“Uh huh.” Tang Qianmiao twirled a loop of hair, a look of impatience growing in her eyes.
“Tang Qianmiao, I’m a normal man,” he added.
The girl broke into a slight smile as a sort of laziness came over her expression. One could hear it in her voice now as she spoke in a charming drawl, “Are you worried that I’ll eat you up, or are you worried that you’ll have trouble with self-control?”
The air seemed to freeze over as the sound of water continued in the background.
After a few seconds, there was silence, and then the sound of a door opening. At the same time, Feng Xian spoke in his emotionless voice, “I want to meet with Bai Mi this Saturday before 10 am.
“Sure.”
With that, Tang Qianmiao hung up.
On the other end, Feng Xian heard the engaged tone. He chortled faintly and muttered as he shook his head, “That little lass.”
She was trying all ways and means to be close to him!
After he put on his clothes, he walked out of his bedroom to head into the study. Because it had been busy at work recently, Old Yu was still in the room helping him organize his documents.
Feng Xian instructed him, “Prepare a room on the first floor for Tang Qianmiao. She will be moving in.”
What? Surprised, Old Yu straightened up, causing the tidied up documents to fall onto the floor.
“Why is Young Master doing this all of a sudden?”
Feng Xian sat down expressionlessly as he started to look through the documents on his computer screen. His reply was nonchalant. “This is what she’s requested.”
Old Yu suddenly recalled and tsk-tsked. “This child! How can she make these sorts of overbearing requests? This is the first time that Young Master has made anyone a promise like this.”
Upon hearing the word “overbearing”, Feng Xian’s eyes flashed icily and he gave Old Yu an indifferent glance. Then he said casually, “Given that she’s infatuated with me, it’s an understandable request.”
“Ah?” Old Yu looked stumped. “This…” He fell into deep contemplation.
Feng Xian noticed the man’s doubtful expression and asked calmly, “Am I not good enough?”
Old Yu laughed and replied, “How could that be possible? I was just thinking, you’re already 25 this year. I was just surprised that the girl likes someone so many years older than her.”
The words made Feng Xian narrow his eyes as a frosty expression came over his handsome face.
“Young Master, what do you think though?”
“I’m not interested.”
There was little expression on the young man’s face when he replied. The look of anticipation in Old Yu’s eyes suddenly vanished. For a moment, he had thought that his young master was finally growing up.
However, it didn’t look like the young man was trying to hide anything. Besides, he’d always been disdainful towards lies. Although, if this went on, wouldn’t the Young Master remain a bachelor forever?

“Uncle Yu.” Feng Xian looked at the man with his clear and rather emotionless eyes.
“Yes?” the elderly man replied seriously.
“You’re too shallow.”
Old Yu flushed in embarrassment.
