“What is it, Mrs. Lu?”

Yan Susu pursed her lips. He had said ‘Mrs. Lu’ so naturally that anyone who did not know better would assume that he had been doing so for years.

“Why did you register a marriage with me so suddenly? We have only met twice, and you were terribly upset during our earlier meeting at the police station…”
