The housekeeper hadn’t yet completed her sentence when Fu Zhengshi charged into the room, eyes ablaze. Obviously familiar with Lu Xingguang’s condition, he proceeded to administer treatment.

“I’m going to take a rest now,” Fu Zhengshi announced, massaging his brows to soothe a slight headache.

He had been in surgery for more than ten hours and had just stepped out of the operating theatre when he had been summoned here. He was exhausted.

“Let’s go, too.” Lu Zhanxiu pulled Yan Susu to her feet, intending to lead her away.

Incredulously, Yan Susu looked at him. “But your son is sick.”

“So?”

“He needs someone by his side. Are you just going to up and leave?”

“The housekeeper and servants will be here.”

“Madam, I will look after the Young Master. You and Sir should get some rest,” the housekeeper responded respectfully.
