“Follow her!”

Sakamoto Tai Lang said in a grim tone.

He was acutely aware that Caie Mitsui suddenly wanting to come for a checkup was far from simple!

He just didn’t know what trick she was planning to pull.

Behind her, the men swiftly followed and encircled Caie Mitsui.

It was like a celebrity entourage, completely blocking her off, leaving no gaps.

Seeing such a scene, the people in the hospital looked bewildered, unsure of what was happening.

“Miss Mitsui, please wait here for a moment. I’ll have someone queue for registration,” Sakamoto Tai Lang said in a low voice.

Caie Mitsui said nothing, standing still in place.

Silently, she gazed around. People streamed back and forth, yet Lin Yi’s figure was nowhere to be found.

She didn’t know what Lin Yi’s plan was. The note had only instructed her to claim a severe stomachache and come here for a checkup.

Nothing else was mentioned.

Caie Mitsui had faith that Lin Yi must have arranged everything. All she had to do was follow his instructions.

Lin Yi was someone she could entrust her life to completely.

He never let anyone down!

Soon, one of the Sunrise Landese men came jogging back, holding a registration slip in his hand.

“Miss Mitsui, we can see the doctor now,” Sakamoto Tai Lang said:

“Let’s see if we can find anything out.”

“I hope you’d stop talking by now. Be a man with some dignity. The way you act is truly disgusting.”

Caie Mitsui clicked her high heels and strode toward Consultation Room No. 2.

Sakamoto Tai Lang stood there for a moment, feeling humiliated, but after a few seconds, he still followed.

“I’m here for a checkup, why are you coming in too?”

Standing at the doorway of the consultation room, Caie Mitsui spoke coldly.

“Apologies, but you cannot simply get a checkup. You cannot leave our sight,” Sakamoto Tai Lang said:

“And don’t even think about using this as an opportunity to escape. With me here, Sakamoto Tai Lang, that’s impossible.”

“How revolting!”

Uttering her disgust, Caie Mitsui stepped into the consultation room.

Although she didn’t know Lin Yi’s plan, Caie Mitsui tried her best to create opportunities.

The more she could shake off these people, the better Lin Yi’s chances.

Eleven people filed into the consultation room. The on-duty doctor looked baffled, having never seen such a turnout before.

“Just focus on your job and check her condition. Don’t concern yourself with anything else,” Sakamoto Tai Lang said quietly.

“Alright, alright…”

The doctor replied nervously, then turned to Caie Mitsui.

“May I ask where you’re feeling unwell?”

“My stomach, it hurts terribly.”

The doctor frowned and observed. From Caie Mitsui’s calm demeanor, it was difficult to believe she was in pain.

“Other than stomach pain, do you have any other symptoms?”

“No.”

“I see…”

Seeing the cold expression on Caie Mitsui’s face, the doctor didn’t know what else to say. He could only respond helplessly:

“You’ll need to get an ultrasound first to check for any organ issues.”

“Alright.”

Caie Mitsui got up, took the examination slip, and walked out of the consultation room.

Sakamoto Tai Lang and his men remained dutifully watchful.

Even though it was early morning, the hospital was still crowded, and they had to queue.

Caie Mitsui didn’t seem rushed, standing quietly at the back of the line, lost in thought.

“Mr. Saka, the Mitsui Group’s people are all under surveillance. Who exactly would come to save her?”

“Their forces are composed of members from the Yamaguchi-gumi and the Mitsui Family’s men. Both groups are currently being monitored. If they make any significant moves, they’ll surely be spotted,” Sakamoto Tai Lang replied:

“Additionally, I’ve stationed men outside the hospital. If any suspicious individuals appear, they will be detected immediately. She won’t succeed.”

“Understood!”

“We must keep a close watch on Caie Mitsui. She’s the source of it all, essentially the brain of the operation,” Sakamoto Tai Lang said:

“Without her orders, any plans will fall apart.”

“Understood!”

Soon, as those in front completed their examinations, Caie Mitsui walked into the room calmly.

Sakamoto Tai Lang followed closely behind.

“What are you doing?”

This time, Caie Mitsui’s expression turned icy. “Are you seriously planning to watch me get an ultrasound?”

“Apologies, but we must watch you. It’s our responsibility,” Sakamoto Tai Lang said.

“Could you please step outside?”

The speaker was the ultrasound technician, an elderly doctor in his sixties, his hair a mix of gray and white, his tone firm.

“No, we need to keep an eye on her,” Sakamoto Tai Lang said resolutely.

“An ultrasound requires the patient to lift their clothing, which involves privacy!” The doctor insisted with a sense of duty.

“Privacy is not my concern.”

“If you refuse to leave, then I won’t conduct this test. Let’s just waste time here,” Caie Mitsui said indifferently.

“If you don’t want the test, I’ll just take you back,” Sakamoto Tai Lang said.

“Why should I leave when the checkup isn’t complete?”

Caie Mitsui cast an icy withering glance his way, exuding an air of superiority.

“You need to understand, I’m cooperating with your investigation, not a criminal. Don’t push me into doing something irrational. It won’t bode well for you or this country.”

“This…”

Faced with Caie Mitsui’s threat, Sakamoto Tai Lang froze. The oppressive aura she emitted caused cold sweat to drip from him.

Even though he held a high-ranking position, in this capitalist society, Caie Mitsui’s capabilities were far stronger than he had imagined.

He knew very well that someone like her was not someone he could afford to provoke.

“Miss Mitsui, I hope you understand. Guarding you is an order I’ve received; it’s my duty. No matter what, I can’t allow you to be alone here for the checkup,” Sakamoto Tai Lang said:

“If it’s acceptable, let’s compromise. I’ll leave four people here. They will ensure your privacy isn’t violated. I hope you can understand. Otherwise, we’ll just keep dragging things out.”

Caie Mitsui frowned slightly. She knew that Sakamoto Tai Lang making such a concession was already his limit.

She silently weighed her options and couldn’t grasp the full extent of Lin Yi’s arrangements for this situation.

As a woman in such an environment, she certainly couldn’t achieve much by herself.

Could it be that he had indeed planned everything, leaving her with nothing to worry about?

“Make your men stand farther away from me,” Caie Mitsui said coldly. “But you need to leave. I don’t want to see you.”

Sakamoto Tai Lang’s expression turned somewhat peculiar, but in the end, he agreed.

“Alright, I’ll wait outside for you.”

Before stepping out, Sakamoto Tai Lang left four people behind and gave them a low, commanding whisper:

“Keep a close watch. Don’t let her pull any tricks!”
