Chapter 24: Avenge Daddy

The bodyguard walked over to give a situational report. “Young Master Lu. I’ve checked the documents in the study one by one. We didn’t lose anything.”

Manager Chen was glad that he was too much of a coward to proceed with their plan. He only dared to look at them but didn’t dare to take the documents away.

When he heard what the bodyguard said, he quickly responded, “Young Master Lu, you heard it yourself. We didn’t dare to steal them at all. We were only here to put up a show, it was all just an act..”

“Just putting up a show?” Lu Junhan smiled horrifyingly. “You snuck into my study just for a show? You think this is a theatre?”

Vice President Liu was so scared that he felt as if he was about to lose a fragment of his soul for he knew that escape was now impossible. So, all he did was keep on begging, “Young Master Lu, Young Master Lu, please let us go this time. We know what we did was wrong… I swear that we won’t do this again the next time…”

Suddenly, a sharp dagger which shone underneath the cold fluorescent lighting was thrown in front of them.

Clang!

It made a dull, heavy noise as it hit the heavily carpeted floor. It looked like it could easily cut through iron. It was just that razor-sharp!

The two of them looked at the blade with their faces filled with horror. They asked, “Young Master Lu… T-This is…”

Lu Junhan bent forward slightly. His deep, dark eyes stared into their terror-filled eyes while he flashed them a questionable smile. His tone, however, was completely devoid of warmth as he said, “Leave your hand behind, and I’ll let you two go.”

“Young Master Lu!”

Their faces were instantly drained of color. Terrified, they stuttered as they spoke. “W-we can resign from the company. We don’t need anything, and we can also accept other conditions…”

“If you can’t do it,” Lu Junhan leaned back into the sofa, and had another puff of smoke before saying to them casually, “There are lots of people here who can lend you a hand if you’re afraid of doing it yourself.”

“…”

“I will give you three seconds. Pick one. You can either do it yourselves or would you want me to help you with it?”

Vice President Liu and Manager Chen glanced at each other, with beads of cold sweat constantly forming on their foreheads…

They still wanted to make a bet on their final strand of hope, “Young Master Lu…”

“Three seconds have passed,” There wasn’t any hint of emotion in his eyes. Finally, flashing them a smile, he said, “Alright, let me find someone to help you with that.”

Both of them felt their bodies go limp as they fell to the ground. Their mouths kept on mumbling as they trembled, “No, you can’t…”

“Daddy! You don’t need to find anyone else! Let me do it! I can do this! I know how to do this!”

Suddenly, the voice of a child came from outside the door.

No one knew when the door to Lu Junhan’s study had been opened.

In the next second, a young girl wearing a white sleeping gown huddled into the room.

She saw the two baddies that would bully his daddy in the future.

The novel said that after her daddy had cut off their hands, they would bear so much grudge against him and that they would keep on plotting against her daddy like a pair of madmen!

If it weren’t for her daddy’s cautious nature and sheer luck, her daddy would have died a long time ago!

Not to mention the fact that they would sell off the secrets of her daddy’s company after they were booted out, forcing her daddy to suffer a terrible headache for a period of time!

Lu Li didn’t care if her daddy was the villain, he was still the best daddy in the world to her. No one could ever bully him!

The little girl picked up the blade on the floor. The blade was quite heavy, but she clasped her tiny hands around the handle and pointed it towards the two baddies.

The blade was very sharp, and its length was about half her height. When she grabbed the blade, the person standing next to her held his breath out of nervousness. He was scared that she’d lose her grip and hurt herself in the process!

The little girl wanted to learn a thing or two from her daddy. Suddenly, a large but delicate hand took the blade from her hands.

In the next second, a man’s deep voice rang out in the room as he said, “Little girls like you shouldn’t play with blades! Get out, now!”

“I’m not playing with blades!”

The little girl was quite angry as she planted her hands on her waist, revealing her pale and thin pair of arms. “These two baddies are bullying Daddy, so I must cut off their hands and avenge you!”

Everyone else, “…”

Who did the girl say were the bullies and the bullied, and who did she say she was going to avenge?
