Moreover, the Great Heng held the Incense Sealing God Technique, so even if Buddhism tried to exert pressure, they would still have reservations.

Master Yin Guang said, “If he is a felon, then he should naturally be handed over to the Imperial Court for trial. Buddhism is not a place that harbors and condones filth!”

“Thank you, Master, for resolving my doubts.”

Yin Guang Luohan was taken aback upon hearing this. The square fell silent. After a long time, he said in a low voice,

“No!”

“Even for the Bodhisattvas and Buddha above, there is the calamity of cessation. In the heavens and the earth, among the myriad immortals and Buddhas, who truly can achieve Everlasting Immortality?”

Everlasting Immortality is but an illusion!

All the onlooking cultivators were stunned; they had embarked on the path of Daoism with the ultimate goal of achieving immortality. Now, the exalted Buddhist Arhat had openly declared that there was no path to Everlasting Immortality.

Dreams shattered, faith broken.

If there is no path to immortality, then why endure the bitter practice? Might as well lead a carefree and joyous life. Anyway, after hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of years, those who have toiled to become immortals and Buddhas will also vanish into thin air!

“I am wholeheartedly devoted to the Dao and have no interest in cultivating Buddhism. Forgive me for any frivolous actions, Arhat!”

By now, Zhou Yi was well aware that Yin Guang Luohan must have known the source of those two questions; perhaps he really had taken a liking to his talent, or maybe the Luohan was narrow-minded.

Yin Guang Luohan offered no response and vanished amidst a sky full of Buddha’s light.

Zhou Yi breathed a sigh of relief: “Fellow brothers, the mission of our Sect has been completed. I still have the Pill Furnace lit, so I won’t be attending the remaining sessions of the lectures.”

Gu Xiao said, “After the lecture in two days, our Sect, the Great Heng, and the Buddhist community will jointly promote the Art of Incense Fire Sealing God. Such an event will shake Dongsheng Divine Continent and transform the Cultivation World. Don’t you want to witness it?”

I have seen enough grand scenes!

Zhou Yi shook his head, declining the invitation. He transformed into a stream of light, flying eastward, not even planning to return to the Mountain God Temple, intending to take refuge overseas temporarily.

No sooner had he left the capital by several hundred miles,
