Chapter 48: I Do Not Have A Father

The admiration in Yan Chengchi’s eyes became more evident.

He said leisurely, “Why are you following me?”

He didn’t believe that their encounter outside the villa was an accident.

The villa and the hundreds of acres of lands surrounding it were all his properties. A child as young as him would not have appeared there for no rhyme or reason.

Even if it was indeed an accident that day, what about today?

There were so many cars on the road, yet he went right in front of his car.

“I am definitely not following you.” Little Hanhan realized he was only concerned about that; he climbed back onto the car seat. He sat down steadily and gave him a disgusted look.

He was following his Little Yueyue and only happened to bump into the “Wild Guy” by chance.

Yan Chengchi felt choked by that look. He raised his eyebrow and asked, “Where are your parents?”

How did a child as young as him end up wandering around the streets?

Yan Chengchi wouldn’t admit that he actually cared for a kid that he had only met twice. He was merely curious about what kind of parents would have raised this impish little demon.

As soon as he finished speaking, the stubborn little guy’s eyes began to turn red.

His big black eyes became damp, and he sniffled loudly as though he was trying very hard to hold back his tears.

He looked at Yan Chengchi pitifully and said articulately.

“I don’t have a father…”

A big tear fell from his eye the moment he said that.

Yan Chengchi’s body stiffened, and he felt his heart ache as he looked at the little guy who started to cry like a baby.

It was as if someone was squeezing his heart, and an unfamiliar pain was coursing through his body.

He narrowed his eyes and stared at the tiny little guy in front of him.

“My Mommy was cheated by a jerk when she was young. She was pregnant, and then that jerk abandoned us. Mommy got to work hard to support us, so she has no time to take care of me…”

The little guy looked at Yan Chengchi surreptitiously as he spoke.

He thought he was unhappy when he saw him furrowed his brows; he squeezed himself on the thigh so he could cry harder.

“Did you ever go and look for that jerk?” Yan Chengchi felt his heart getting heavier increasingly. He started to loosen his tie.

“We did…”

The little guy answered while sniffling.

“He doesn’t acknowledge you?” Yan Chengchi’s face turned dark slightly.

“He is already dead.” Hanhan raised his head and emphasized every word.

There was a “serves you right” smugness in his eyes.

He blinked his eyes innocently and looked at Yan Chengchi.

Well, he made him say that. If “Wild Guy” really was his dad, then he did deserve to be cursed.

“That kind of jerk deserved to die.” Yan Chengchi narrowed his eyes and said coldly.

“…”

Yup, yup. Bad guys who bullied little children all deserved to die!

“It is about time for the filming commencement ceremony to start, Young Master Chi.” the chauffeur reminded Yan Chengchi gingerly after checking on the time.

Yan Chengchi only remembered then that he was supposed to go to the production unit.

He was about to get the chauffeur to send this little guy home. However, when he turned his head, the little guy sitting beside him had already opened the door and left. He stuck out his tongue at him, turned around, and dashed away from him!

Yan Chengchi was stunned for a moment, then a light flashed through his mind. He pushed the door open and went after him.
