“Stop fooling around now. Young Master Chi is very concerned about the production team’s progress. We had to settle the script so we could start filming. We got to air the series during the summer holidays, so please, know what you are expected to do!”

Jiang Mingna’s face stiffened when she heard that it was Yan Chengchi’s wishes. She stomped her feet and glared at Xia Changyue.

“You are lucky this time around, or else, I will not let you off so easily!”

Xia Changyue frowned and pursed her lips without saying a word.

Suspicion arose in her heart.

Although this series was her first attempt as an idol drama scriptwriter, it was just a very ordinary investment to Yan Chengchi. He was so busy, so why would he care about the series’ filming progress?

“Why are you still standing there, Xia Changyue? Bring me the script that you have amended.” The Director banged on the table and shouted at Xia Changyue.

She lowered her gaze and sort out her thoughts. She then stepped forward to explain her script to the Director.

She forgot about everything once she got busy with work.

She heard Jiang Mingna’s voice suddenly just as she finished the first draft of the script and prepared to keep her stuff to go home.

“I think the plot is rather unreasonable for the first part, Director Wang. The female lead is a very kind-hearted girl, so why would she go and strike someone?”

Jiang Mingna glanced at Xia Changyue and shook the script that she just received in her hands. She then continued to nitpick on it.

“And look at this episode. The female lead had to get up by herself when she was pushed and fell down in the middle of a busy street. Shouldn’t the male lead appear and rescue her at this moment?”

Jiang Mingna dumped the script onto the table loudly and crossed her arms.

“I think someone thought that since she had signed a contract with Yan Corporation, she could hand in subpar work. That’s why she dared to say that she had already edited her work with such a lousy script.”

“Are there really so many problems? Let me see.” The Director took the script and started to read it seriously.

“I am not nitpicking, Director Wang. We are all professional actors, so we are different from those people who only knew how to write scripts for theatre. A script with ridiculous plots like this is inviting criticisms and bad reviews once the series goes on air.”

Jiang Mingna snapped her fingers, flipped her long permed wavy hair, and looked at Xia Changyue antagonistically.

Xia Changyue bit her lips and looked at the Director who seemed irate. She stepped forward and took her script back.

“Sorry for my inexperience. I will consider the issues raised by Miss Jiang seriously. I will edit the script and send it in again tomorrow.”
