Chapter 58: When Will You Let Me Go?

He dragged Xia Changyue toward his car parked at the roadside.

An Chenxu, who was lying on the ground, attempted to get up and give chase. He was immediately blocked by Yan Chengchi’s bodyguards.

Xia Changyue was pushed into the backseat.

She had not even recovered from her lack of oxygen when she heard Yan Chengchi say coldly, “Drive.”

The black divider was slowly rising in between the seats again.

Xia Changyue jolted and shivered uncontrollably as she remembered her previous experience.

Yan Chengchi looked at her, all huddled up in a corner. He grabbed her face, smirked, and emphasized every word.

“I will not touch you. You’re filthy!”

Xia Changyue felt as if she was stabbed in the heart. His words hurt her much more than what he did physically.

Then, Yan Chengchi turned her face and pressed her against the car window.

Xia Changyue felt a bump at her forehead, then she saw the group of bodyguards beating up An Chenxu through the car window. She was all tensed up.

She turned her head over nervously. She moved her lips and was about to plead on An Chenxu’s behalf when she saw Yan Chengchi’s deadly gaze. She choked on her words.

It was clearly written in his eyes that if she remained quiet, An Chenxu would only receive a beating.

However, if she dared to plead, An Chenxu would be in mortal danger…

Xia Changyue bit her lips tightly.

His looks now reminded her instantly of what happened four years ago…

He had also lost his control and went berserk at that time. He looked as if he would kill everyone in sight.

Yan Chengchi dragged her out of the limousine as soon as the car reached the villa.

Xia Changyue huddled and shivered as the cold water landed onto her. She dared not say anything as she looked at Yan Chengchi’s ominous face.

He finally carried her out of the bathroom when he was done punishing her.

He dumped her hard onto the bed in the room.

She clearly heard Yan Chengchi whisper angrily at her ear before she lost her consciousness.

“Xia Changyue, take a good look at who you are lying next to now. I will make your life worse than death if you dare to cuckold me!”

Xia Changyue was woken up by her hunger in the middle of the night.

The man sleeping next to her held her in his arms so tightly that she could hardly move.

She wanted to call the An Family to check on An Chenxu.

She was also afraid that Hanhan would panic after not seeing her for two days.

Also, the script that the Director wanted tomorrow…

She was not able to do anything that she wanted to do now.

Suddenly, she felt a chill down her spine as if something was staring at her in the dark.

She raised her head slowly and looked into Yan Chengchi’s dull black eyes. She stiffened immediately.

He released her instantly and sat up. He reached out for his sleeping robe, shrugged in casually, turned around, and walked out of the room.

“Yan Chengchi…”

Xia Changyue asked as she lay there quietly and stared blankly at the ceiling.

Her voice was very soft, but Yan Chengchi heard her immediately. He stopped instinctively, but he didn’t turn around.

Xia Changyue swallowed hard and asked, bracing herself for the anger that she might trigger by her question.

“When will you let me go? The contract will end one day, and you can’t possibly keep me forever.”
