Chapter 1239: Chapter 712: Cancer of the Universe [Epilogue Two]_1 Chapter 1239: Chapter 712: Cancer of the Universe [Epilogue Two]_1 Year 4609 AD.
Anaya Collins and her fleet had arrived in the Andromeda Galaxy but did not aggressively expand. Instead, they stealthily infiltrated the core region of the Andromeda Galaxy, like a virus entering a human body. They discreetly settled on a seemingly unremarkable planet in a binary star system in the central area, rapidly growing their population while secretly probing the nearby civilizations.
The Andromeda Galaxy had a diameter of 160,000 light-years and had at least 400 billion stars, making it much larger than the Milky Way Galaxy.
This place had always been fertile ground for civilizations.
However, the Compound-Eyed Observer had little set up here, only placing a few core ships shaped like octopuses. Instead, they focused more on enslaving and controlling numerous Tier 3 civilizations.
Over the course of a thousand years, hundreds of Tier 3 civilizations had emerged in the Andromeda Galaxy.
Some civilizations had touched the edge of being a Fourth-class civilization but showed no signs of breakthrough.
Moreover, no trace of the swirling cannon or the long-range giant Stargate could be found in the center of the Andromeda Galaxy.
Technical analysis revealed that the central black hole of the Andromeda Galaxy differed significantly from the Galactic Center, lacking the stability to support the transformation of a long-range Stargate.
This had been previously discovered through human research.
No two stellar system gravity cores in the universe were identical. Each central black hole or gravity source of a stellar system had its own differences, both large and small. These differences determined its characteristics and had zero tolerance for errors in manufacturing long-range Stargates spanning tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of light-years.
In the vast Laniakea Supercluster Group, there were fewer than ten suitable stellar system cores for transforming into long-range Stargates. One of them was a distant giant gravity source, and another was the Galactic Center. It would be pointless to modify others more distant from the Milky Way. This was humanity’s fortune and the source of another forty thousand years of peace.
The Compound-Eyed Observer’s octopus-like ships stationed in the Andromeda Galaxy did not retreat but were not foolish enough to rush to the Milky Way to hand over their technology either. Instead, they unlocked the shackles imposed on countless Slave Tribes, attempting to mimic humanity’s technological explosion and create more war-capable Slave Tribes.
Of course, this was a risky move. Giving these slave civilizations more advanced technology would inevitably invite rebellion, but at this point, the Compound-Eyed Observer couldn’t afford to worry about that. They were frantically exploiting the resources of the galaxy and building up strength, trying to impose new pressure on the nearby humans in the Milky Way Galaxy.
However, the balance of power had already shifted between the enemy and humanity. The Compound-Eyed Observer would not let these Slave Tribes take action prematurely, simply handing over resources before they could develop a military advantage.
Still, with the arrival of Anaya Collins’ fleet, the Compound-Eyed Observer’s scheme was shattered.
Anaya Collins’ fleet left a large number of coordinates behind them, with a small engineering team stationed near each coordinate.
Other escape vessels and fire Dragon Giants en route from the Milky Way Galaxy to the Andromeda Galaxy also stopped at different coordinates based on their progress.
Connected together, these coordinates formed a “candied haw” string extending from the Milky Way Galaxy to the Andromeda Galaxy.
Each “candied haw” string was a set of long-range Stargates under construction.
This string of Stargates would become a cosmic ladder known as the Star Chain Sky Ladder for humans to leave the Milky Way and head directly to the Andromeda Galaxy.
Human armies would arrive in the Andromeda Galaxy within a thousand years.
For the civilizations in the Andromeda Galaxy, humans who had been taught entirely new rules for survival in the universe would only offer two choices: comply or perish.
There was only one purpose for humanity’s war–complete domination.
By now, people with nearly 100% gene awakening already possessed an almost infinite ability to learn and absorb new information.
No matter what form of civilization–physical, biological, semi-mechanical, energy-based, or even basic quantum law-derived elemental life forms like giant rock life–humans could understand and integrate their specialized knowledge within their own scientific systems.
The amount of knowledge and information held by humans was expanding as rapidly as a supernova explosion.
In order to fully absorb this increasingly diverse knowledge, human civilization, which had evolved from Earth humans to Galactic Humans and then Cosmic Humans, had no choice but to go in different directions when gene awakening approached its peak.
Carbon-based life forms understanding the mindset of silicon-based life forms was always separated by a veil, unable to touch the essence, like fish speaking human language but never being able to understand life without water.
Humans had a history of transitioning from carbon-based life forms to another form of life.
From ancient body armor enhancements to Harrison Clark’s resurrection fusing with the universe, and Freddy’s irreversible transformation into a black hole, humans had come a long way.
Now, humans, faced with the temptation of cosmic knowledge and driven by a sense of mission to explore the infinite mysteries of the universe, had chosen to take the last step of civilizational evolution: life-form differentiation.
The simplest and most practical way to understand all the mysteries of the universe was to retain human will and assimilate with each enigma.
The demise of the Virtual Tribe had been a blessing for humanity, but it also served as a constant warning hanging over their heads.
If they wished to reach the end of the universe and move on to the next world, they could not place all their hopes on a single leader but must have the entire race push forward relentlessly.
