Five days later, Qiu Tong opened her eyes.

She felt a dull pain in her bones as if they had been shattered and reformed.

Qiu Tong wanted to move her numb arms, but she ended up making contact with a tiny head.

Qiu Xingyu rubbed her eyes and opened them, yawning. When she saw Qiu Tong had awoken, she jumped up in excitement and bumped into Qiu Xingyuan and Qiu Xingqiao, who were lying beside her. The noise of the children woke Jin Yang and the others on the ground. They all stood up and surrounded the bed.

Qiu Tong did not expect the room to hold so many people!

Qiu Xingyu said in a choked voice, “Mommy, why are you only awake now? Eldest Brother said you should have woken up three days ago!”

Qiu Xingyuan and Ye Luan ran over to examine Qiu Tong’s body. They explained, “Perhaps the modification drug has been in Mommy’s body for too long, some components have merged with her blood and will take more time to be completely removed.”

He accepted all her complaints and thoughtfully scooped up a spoonful of soup. He blew at it until it was cooler before bringing it to Qiu Tong’s lips.

Jin Yang stared at her features, still feeling like he was in a dream.

Qiu Tong was touched by what Jin Yang had done for her. A wicked smile appeared on her face.

Jin Yang saw her red lips and understood her intentions. He smiled helplessly and kissed her.

Qiu Tong hooked her arms around his neck. Their intense movements accidentally tugged at her IV needle. She cried out softly, “It hurts!”

Jin Yang moved more gently and met her crafty eyes. He kissed her eyebrows.

Knock, knock, knock. Shao An, who had returned from outside, knocked on the door. By the time he saw the scene of Jin Yang and Qiu Tong kissing on the bed, it was already too late for him to back out. Shao An could only straighten his back and stare at the ceiling. His voice was filled with apology as he said, “Sir, I didn’t see anything!”

Qiu Tong pushed Jin Yang away with a chuckle, while Jin Yang said with dissatisfaction and anger, “You better have something important.”

Shao An straightened his back and respectfully handed over the documents in his hand. “Important information. Our team members outside the borders have sent back news that the Liqing Corporation’s headquarters has convened a board meeting to remove Yu Ge’s management rights in S City.”

“A few days ago, our men discovered that a helicopter landed on the roof of the Liqing Corporation branch office in S City. It’s suspected to be Yu Ge’s father.”

Jin Yang frowned as he flipped through the documents. Qiu Tong rested her chin on his shoulder and leaned over to look. Jin Yang noticed her actions and thoughtfully shifted the documents so that she could read better. He gestured for Shao An to continue.

Shao An shifted his gaze elsewhere. “We secretly followed Terrence and Yu Ge and discovered that Yu Ge and his father have not appeared for many days.”

“They must have been placed under house arrest at a hotel downtown. There are a few members of the Vulture Organization guarding the perimeter of the hotel.”

“All the armed forces in S City have been handed over to Terrence. Overseas news of the Liqing Corporation was cut off three days ago. It’s speculated that our men were discovered and their whereabouts are currently unknown. The Liqing Corporation has also publicly announced that they are reorganizing and are quickly amassing funds.”

The same thought appeared in Jin Yang and Qiu Tong’s minds. They had begun to take action…

Jin Yang gestured for Shao An to rest for the time being and wait for his orders. Qiu Tong held Jin Yang’s slender fingers as she fell into deep thought, playing with them subconsciously. “It looks like their focus is overseas. Yu Ge and his father are just pawns who were used. Yu Ge’s actions disrupted their plans, which is why they were placed under house arrest.”

The modification drug had been tested on her. From the remains of the communication device Shao An had found at the scene, it was very likely that Terrence had witnessed the entire process that day. They would definitely work hard to snatch Qiu Rong and the drug.

Qiu Tong stared at Jin Yang sharply and suggested, “Let’s go find them overseas!”
