Chapter 38: Not At All Alike

Lei Tingye held onto his textbook. One of his feet had just stepped out of the dormitory door, but before he could lift his other foot, his roommate forcefully dragged him back to the dormitory.

His roommate shouted loudly, “Tingye, you’ve been cheated!”

Lei Tingye was stunned. He didn’t even have a girlfriend, so how could he be cheated on?

Then, Lei Tingye thought of Ci Yunsha.

His roommates all thought that Yunsha was his girlfriend. He had explained it before, but they did not believe him.

As expected, his roommates used their phones to click on a photo and had sent it to Lei Tingye. They said, “Look, Yunsha was sent to the school gate by a sports car this morning, and she was even photographed…”

There were a few photos, and Lei Tingye’s expression was calm. He had never seen Ci Yunsha’s brothers before, so he could not recognize them. However, he knew that Yunsha’s family was rich, and not long ago, Lu Youqi had even called to say that Yunsha was a member of the wealthy Ci family, so perhaps that sports car belonged to Yunsha’s own family.

Speaking of Ci Yunsha, Lei Tingye suddenly took out his phone and opened his messaging app to take a look. He realized that Yunsha still had not said good morning to him today, like she always would in the past.

The way he lowered his eyes quietly was interpreted by his roommate as a disappointment after being betrayed, his roommate was furious for him. “Tingye, it’s not worth it to be sad for a woman like her. Hurry up and break up with her. I really didn’t expect her to be two-timing, saying that she likes you while sitting in someone else’s car…”

Lei Tingye interrupted him and explained, “She’s not that kind of person.”

Another roommate saw Lei Tingye’s stubbornness and reached out to pat Lei Tingye on the shoulder. He said earnestly, “Hey, look on the bright side. Don’t deceive yourself anymore. I know this matter has dealt a great blow to you, but you have to face reality.”

Lei Tingye said, “Don’t listen to hearsay. This post is slander.”

His roommates looked at him with concern and pity.

Lei Tingye could only stare back.

Lei Tingye did not go to the library. He returned to his seat and turned on his computer.

His roommates were very puzzled. In the past, they had always thought that Tingye did not care much about his girlfriend. But now that everyone was cursing and swearing at him to break up, Lei Tingye stood firmly on Yunsha’s side.

He turned on his computer and tapped on the keyboard with his fingers. In a short while, he deleted all the posts about Yunsha.

Lei Tingye was not an administrator, but he was a genius in the computer science department. Deleting posts was a piece of cake for him.

“Tingye, why did you delete all the posts from others?!” One of his roommates was indignant. He wanted to let more people curse Yunsha to vent their collective anger at that cheater, but he quickly thought that.., perhaps the reason why Tingye deleted the posts was to not damage his own reputation.

After all, for Lei Tingye, such a thing as being cheated on would be a humiliating thing. He would definitely not directly admit that he had been left behind by a girl. Instead, he would think of a way to cover it up and then break up with Ci Yunsha personally.

After deleting the posts, Lei Tingye said, “Ci Yunsha is not my girlfriend.”

His roommates nodded in agreement. “Yes! We understand. She is definitely not your girlfriend.” Even if they were, they would not admit it.

Lei Tingye thought for a moment and explained, “There is no evidence that the man driving the sports car is her boyfriend. I think he is her brother. Don’t spread rumors about the relationship between Ci Yunsha and that boy and ruin her reputation…”

“Bro,” his roommate clicked on the photo again and sighed. “Look at Ci Yunsha’s figure and then look at that sports car guy’s figure… they’re leagues different! Do they look like a brother and sister?”

Another roommate chimed in, “They don’t look like a brother and sister at all.”

Well, actually, he didn’t think so either.

“He’s not a brother, but he might be the driver..”
