Chapter 41. Restored (1)

We rushed out of the dungeon. Immediately, all I saw were monsters huge enough to fill the sky, people screaming and lying around, and Awakened trying to do their best in the midst of it. However, there were too many monsters, and they ended up collapsing helplessly.

What I saw was a devastating tragedy.

In a way, this situation was created by me and Oh Kwon Hyuk. Due to his skill, my fate, in which I would die during the first incident, was hastened, and so the occurrence of the first incident was also hastened.

‘Is Baek Tae-beom okay?’

Baek Tae-beom’s younger brother was moved to a hospital on the outskirts, so he would be safe, so I was worried about Baek Tae-beom. I don’t think he’s in a good condition.

The more confused I was, the calmer my head became. Anyway, I’m supposed to die today. Oh Kwon-hyuk seemed restless and at a loss, but I ignored it and told the others.

“I think saving people will be our first priority.”

Lee Myung-won glanced at me. I laughed wistfully. It was because of Oh Kwon-hyuk, my body wasn’t in a very good state since I’ve been rolling on the floor.

I patted him on the shoulder and started running. I then tried to contact Baek Tae-beom on my cell phone, but he did not answer the phone.

He burst into laughter in the chat. I then turned to avoid the window flying overhead. In the sky, giant monsters with feathers were throwing spears at the people below.

There was a huge swarm of locusts, and everywhere, there was the smell of burning bodies. I used the skill while covering my nose.

My staff was also broken, so the only thing I could rely on now was my skills.

The giant grasshopper in front of me fell as I penetrated it with arrows of light. Green fluid strewed all over the place. I left with rising disgust and went into an alleyway. I was trying to get into the sanctuary by any means, but I was overlooking the seriousness of the situation.

Crawling out of the alley were zombie-type monsters.

“There are so many things happening, seriously!”

I just fired my bow and shot straight through the zombie’s head, but nothing changed. The numbers were enormous. The monsters that were about to explode were like a disaster in itself.

“Help me!”

“Somebody, somebody save me!”

I hurriedly approached the sight of the crisis, and the people were crowding in a corner. A green lizard-shaped monster was about to chew and swallow those in front of it, revealing its human-like teeth. Among those people was Yoo Jin-woo.

I jumped up and climbed on top of the lizard and shot an arrow through its head. The monster twisted its body with a terrible sound, turned to dust, and disappeared.

However, the people I rescued still had terrified faces. Yoo Jin-woo shouted.

“Behind, behind you!”

I hurriedly turned back. Two well-developed lizards, which looked disgusting to even be called monsters, were standing and were about to swing their spears.

Shit, is this how I’m going to die?

As soon as I thought that, a dazzling sword pierced through the monster’s body.

Klieeeng!

The monster let out a terrible scream and turned to dust. And a man was staring at me from the other side, breathing heavily.

Beautiful, beautiful golden eyes.

The moment our eyes met, Baek Tae-beom smiled.

“Hyung.”

“Tae-beom-ah!”

I ran towards Baek Tae-beom, who was about to collapse, and hugged him. Ragged breathing came out of the lips that were close to my neck. Baek Tae-beom smiled lowly again as he shrugged his shoulders because it felt itchy. Certainly, his condition seemed to have cleared up.

“I missed you….”

Even so, why does he say such romantic things as soon as he sees me? It was ridiculous, so I pulled at the back of his head. He let out a groan.

“Are you okay?”

“Yes, thanks to you. But Hyung….”

While taking a glance at my neck, Baek Tae-beom immediately hardened his face.
