Chapter 25: Repaying My Debt

“Madam, please come back. If Master Beiming sees you like this, he won’t be happy about it,” Housekeeper Yao said with a trace of disgust in her stern gaze. “Young girls these days are not to be undermined. They’re willing to resort to any method just to attract Master Beiming’s attention,” she thought.

“Where exactly is he? I really do have urgent matters to see to,” Gu Qingxin said with an anxious look on her face. She was afraid that her mother would become ill from worrying about her.

“What’s going on?” A cold voice rang out. Beiming Han stood in the distance and wore a bathrobe.

When Housekeeper Yao heard his voice, she immediately turned around and gave him a respectful bow. “Master Beiming.”

“Beiming Han, I was just about to look for you. What did you do to Qianqian last night? Also, I need to give my mother a call. I stayed out all night, I’m sure she must be anxious,” Gu Qingxin exclaimed as she quickly ran over to him.

Beiming Han’s face grew increasingly darker, just as his cold aura did. Upon nearing him, Gu Qingxin discovered that he was not alone and that there were two unfamiliar men with him.

Gu Qingxin was petrified as she had nothing but a towel around her body and was still very wet.

Just when she was at a loss, Beiming Han stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her to shield her body from the gazes of the two men.

Huangfu Ye and Bai Jingqing blinked forcefully as many thoughts swirled in their heads.

“Gosh, what is this scene unfolding before our eyes?”

“When did Beiming Han become so protective?”

“He never used to be impulsive when it came to women.”

“What exactly was happening between him and this woman?”

“Is she a vixen? How could she be so breathtakingly beautiful?”

The two men swallowed loudly.

The veins on Beiming Han’s forehead bulged. Gu Qingxin felt like he was going to deform her body from holding her so tightly.

“It hurts,” she protested softly.

Beiming Han frowned and looked at her with an unpleasant expression.

“Get out, Yeqi!” Beiming Han’s tone was cold enough to freeze the people around him to death.

“…” Huangfu Ye and Bai Jingqing did not hesitate and immediately picked up their pace and left.

Beiming Han had a really frightening look on his face.

However, both men felt that finally being able to see what the woman looked like was worth the life-threatening danger they went through.

After all, this was the first woman Beiming Han had brought home.

Her appearance flashed in their minds repeatedly. She was delicate and fragile, and her eyes were clear and pure. She looked like a bunny that had mistakenly barged into a wolf’s den, and it was difficult to resist the urge to tease her mercilessly.

When she heard the receding footsteps of the two men, Gu Qingxin poked her head out to look behind Beiming Han. After confirming that there was nobody there, she breathed a sigh of relief. “Beiming Han?”

“Shut up!” Beiming Han unhappily picked her up as he swept his stern gaze across the group of maids led by Housekeeper Yao. “All of you can leave right now, get your salaries, and scram!”

Housekeeper Yao and the maids were frightened beyond words. They knelt on the ground and their knees hit the floor with resounding thuds. They trembled with fear, they were so scared that no one dared to say a word.

Even though Beiming Han had a strange temperament, and he was usually cold and ruthless, he never once lost his temper at his subordinates. To put it more accurately, he simply treated all his subordinates like they were air or like they were invisible.

This was the first time he acted this way towards his subordinates.

Beiming Han did not spare these people a glance. Instead, he picked Gu Qingxin up and walked into the bedroom quickly.

“Beiming Han, I’m begging you. Let’s treat whatever happened last night as me repaying my debt to you. Now, we don’t owe each other anything. Can you please let me give my mother a call? I was out all night, I’m sure she’s very anxious. And Qianqian…..”

Gu Qingxin’s words came to a halt when she lifted her head and caught sight of Beiming Han’s dark eyes. His gaze was terrifying, as he looked like a wolf that was about to swallow her. She was his prey and he could bite her to death at any moment now.
