Leng Ruobing retrieved the surveillance cameras’ recordings when she arrived at the neighbourhood. She discovered Lan Qianyu had hailed a cab and headed south. Her personal physician and her searched for Lan Qianyu everywhere but to no avail. Because she didn’t want to publicize the situation, she didn’t engage too many people. She eventually had to stop searching after three days had passed without any news.

Qiao Qing and Shen Xin felt very guilty and kept apologizing to her.

Leng Ruobing sighed, “I didn’t protect my own daughter properly, how could I blame you guys. You guys already did a lot for her. Thank you.”

She walked toward the car after saying that.
