Chapter 36: Old Man Aesthetic

After entering the living room, Huo Jingshen instantly turned to the maid. “Take Madam upstairs to rest.”

“Okay, sir.”

After Su Wanwan disappeared with the maid, Chu Xiuhuang chuckled. “A married man is indeed different.”

Huo Jingshen glared at him warningly.

“What is so different about him?” Nangong Ci asked curiously. Why couldn’t he see any difference in his eldest brother?

Lu Chenyu, who was also single, raised his brows questioningly.

Chu Xiuhuang picked up his glass of red wine, slowly taking a sip of it as he said solemnly, “Both of you single men should get into a few relationships before asking me that question.”

Nangong Ci rolled his eyes. “What does that have to do with falling in love or being in a relationship?”

“How do I put this? It’s like you trying to ask me about a postgraduate issue when you’ve just started elementary school,” Chu Xiuhuang explained patiently, then added smugly, “Elder brother is a special case though – he graduated without even attending elementary school.”

Nangong Ci choked on his red wine trying to stifle his laughter, while Lu Chenyu simply gave his eldest brother a thumbs up.

Huo Jingshen narrowed his eyes and growled, “Are the three of you currently unemployed?”

Why were they still here?

Chu Xiuhuang stretched out his legs leisurely and grinned. “Eldest brother, I lost millions of dollars because of you, so if you’re not going to give me an explanation for this, I’ll have to go and look for Xiao Yebai directly.”

“Brother, Xiao Yebai is connected to the Mo family,” Nangong Ci reminded him.

“What about them?” The Mo family were no threat to him, Chu Xiuhuang. If they were, he would not have invested in Guidi just to go against them.

Huo Jingshen stood up abruptly. “All of you should have left by the time I come back downstairs.”

After going upstairs, Su Wanwan looked around the huge master bedroom. “Are there any other rooms here?”

“Madam, this is the master bedroom.” The maid looked a little surprised. Would CEO Huo and his wife be sleeping in separate rooms?

Su Wanwan knew that this was the master bedroom, but everything in it was either black, white, or gray. It had a cold and impersonal feel to it.

This was an old man aesthetic, and she was not used to it at all.

Moreover, this room was too big. It was massive but there were no decorations in it at all. She would definitely feel anxious sleeping in this room.

“Madam, you can call for me anytime you need me; I work here from ten in the morning to six in the evening every day. You can call me Aunty Liu.”

“Okay. Thank you, Aunty Liu.”

After the maid left, the first thing that Su Wanwan did was look for a phone charger so that she could charge her phone.

After that, she walked over to the bathroom and opened the door.

Wow, even the bathroom was huge!

The entire wall was filled with mirrors, and the tiles were made of black and white marble. The bathroom was divided into three areas: one for washing up, one for showering, and one for taking a bath.

There was an exceptionally large bathtub inside the bathing area. It would certainly be very comfortable to take a bath at night…

“The bathtub does not seem to be big enough.”

The sudden voice shocked Su Wanwan.

Damn it, he really made no sound when he moved!

Su Wanwan turned to see Huo Jingshen standing directly behind her. He was standing so close that she could smell the faint scent of tobacco on him.

Su Wanwan took a step back, but since she was wearing Huo Jingshen’s huge slippers, one of her feet slipped out and she stepped onto the cold tiles.

Huo Jingshen glanced down. Her small, fair foot on the black tiles was really quite alluring.

Su Wanwan hurriedly placed her foot back into the slipper. “Umm… Aren’t you rushing to catch your flight?”

The man hummed slightly.

“It’s already half past four, right?” Su Wanwan reminded him hesitantly.

“There is no hurry.” Huo Jingshen took a step forward.

Su Wanwan instinctively took a step back.

Unexpectedly, Huo Jingshen took another step towards her.

“What… what are you trying to do?” Su Wanwan stammered as she looked up at him.

Huo Jingshen pursed his lips and said bluntly, “Even if there is something I want to do, I can’t do it now.”

Su Wanwan gaped at him, speechless.

Was he… making a move on her?

“Come here.” Huo Jingshen could not be bothered with any more small talk, and simply held out his hand to her.

“What do you want?” When Su Wanwan saw the look in his eyes, she felt as though she was a little rabbit that had entered a wolf’s den. She could not help but feel anxious and uneasy.

Of course she knew that they would have to get intimate since they were married now, but wasn’t he supposed to catch a flight today?

Was he really going to make a move on her so soon?

“Come here.” There was a hint of impatience in his tone.

Su Wanwan gritted her teeth.

Forget it. If he wanted to make a move, so be it. After all, it would happen sooner or later.

Su Wanwan moved forward robotically, but he suddenly caught hold of her hand.

“Close your eyes.”

Su Wanwan was a little confused.

Huo Jingshen curled his fingers around her chin and raised her face to his slowly. “Do you like to kiss with your eyes wide open?”

Su Wanwan’s heart pounded in her chest.
